Glorious! Robert Roode returns on Monday Night Raw

Former NXT champion Robert Roode made his long-awaited return on Monday Night Raw yesterday after a very long absence attributed to coronavirus.

Roode responded to Drew McIntyre’s open challenge which was hyped up throughout the broadcast and headlined the post-PPV show. Unfortunately for Roode though, his return didn’t result in a successful win as McIntyre won via a Claymore kick.

This was the former NXT champion’s first match since the March 8 Elimination Chamber pay-per-view where he teamed up with Dolph Ziggler to take on Morrison and Miz, Heavy Machinery, The New Day, The Usos, and Lucha House Party.

Roode was said to be stuck at home in Canada and was unable to travel to the United States once the pandemic hit.
