Gable Steveson returning to amateur wrestling to qualify for U.S. Olympic Trials

A press release issued by USA Wrestling said that Olympic gold medalist and WWE star Gable Steveson is returning to amateur wrestling competition with his registration in the U.S. Open, which will take place later this month.

Steveson has hinted towards his desire to make his return to the mat in recent media appearances as the 2024 Olympic cycle draws near.

The U.S. Open is the tournament which acts as the first step in qualifying for the U.S. Olympic Trials next summer.

Steveson has been training at the WWE Performance Center but has not made his full debut yet.
