Former TNA star Jesse Sorensen wrestles at NXT television tapings

Former TNA star Jesse Sorensen wrestled at the NXT television tapings this past Thursday, working a very quick match against Baron Corbin.

Sorensen worked for TNA between 2011 and 2013 and during the Against All Odds pay-per-view in 2012 he suffered a C-1 vertebrae fracture with spinal cord edema during a match against Zema Ion. Doctors initially said he won’t be able to wrestle anymore but he returned less than a year after suffering the horrible injury.

Sorensen worked backstage for TNA in the meantime and Dixie Carter said that he would have a job for life with the company. Despite her promise, he was released on July 2013 with TNA claiming that Sorensen didn’t want to learn a new job because he wanted to wrestle.

He has not signed a WWE deal and was only used as an enhancement talent for Corbin, who wrestled squash matches four different times during the tapings.
