Former Marvel Comics writer hired as WWE’s Director of Long-term Creative

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that WWE has hired Rob Fee, a former writer for Marvel Comics, as the new Director of Long-term Creative. While Lee officially starts this month, he already got his hands involved in the White Rabbit storyline.

Lee is a longtime wrestling fan and according to Sapp, he once pitched a movie for The Fiend to WWE before Wyatt got his eventual release.

Addressing the news of his hiring, Lee wrote, “Well this is the most excited I’ve ever been to post on LinkedIn. This is my absolute dream job and the entire team is fantastic. If you think it’s been wild so far, just wait.”

According to his LinkedIn, Lee has penned comics for Spider-Man, Daredevil, and The Avengers. He was head writer on multiple Disney shows, including 100 episodes of Disney XD’s top rated series Player Select. Recently he produced several series for Will Smith including The Fresh Prince Reunion and Will From Home, the most watched Snapchat series. Previous he was a producer for The Ellen Show, MTV’s Ridiculousness, and a creative consultant for Netflix, CryptTV, and several esports organizations.
