Final Smackdown Live on USA Network airing tonight

After three years, eight months, and 18 days, Smackdown Live is leaving USA Network for good as it prepares to start new life on FOX on October 4.

The show originally aired on Thursday nights when it moved from sister channel SyFy to USA Network but in May of 2016 it was announced that Smackdown would move to Tuesdays on USA and air live rather pre-recorded. The show made its live debut on July 19, 2016.

Last year, WWE and FOX announced a new broadcast deal worth over $1 billion, with FOX paying WWE $205 million per year for the rights of the blue brand. In comparison, NBCUniversal paid $30 million per year for the rights of Smackdown back in 2010.

The final Smackdown on USA takes place from the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Set for tonight are Charlotte and Carmella vs Bayley and Sasha Banks, Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan clearing the air, Kofi in a sit-down interview to discuss Brock Lesnar, and Shane McMahon inviting Kevin Owens to settle the lawsuit.
