Drew McIntyre undergoing MRI for possible bicep tear

The ending of the McIntyre vs Almas match might have worse circumstances for the former NXT champion as Drew McIntyre is suspected of tearing his bicep.

One of the WWE medical personnel attended to McIntyre after the match was over as he kept holding his right arm. The injury occurred when McIntyre was holding on to the top rope before Almas delivered the DDT to finish him off.

Following the show, McIntyre was interviewed backstage to discuss what happened. “I felt something go in my arm, my bicep, and from experience I know it’s probably not good,” McIntyre said. “No matter what happens I’m coming back, I’m coming for my NXT title,” he added, saying that for now he has to deal with this issue before.

In the post-show Facebook Live interview, Triple H said that the Scottish star will be undergoing an MRI today in Houston to determine the extent of the problem and will undergo surgery this week if that’s what required.
