ESPN’s Senior NBA insider Shams Charania is reporting that basketball Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2026 next month as part of the WrestleMania 42 weekend.
Rodman, a legend in the NBA and one of the Chicago Bulls’ most popular players, worked extensively with WCW between 1997 and 1999, joining the nWo. He wrestled multiple times for the promotion and even helped Hulk Hogan win the WCW title.
Perhaps the most infamous match was when he was teaming with Hulk Hogan to take on Diamond Dallas Page and fellow basketball star Karl Malone, a match which generated headlines for all the wrong reasons. He was also fined by the Chicago Bulls for missing practice during the 1998 NBA Finals to continue his wrestling duties.
The last time Rodman appeared on a wrestling television show was for AEW, accompanying The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn to the ring at All Out in 2023.
The 64-year-old joins Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, and Demolition as part of this year’s class.
The WWE Hall of Fame takes place on Friday, April 17 from the Dolby Theater in Las Vegas.
