Daniel Bryan was officially written out of Crown Jewel last night on Smackdown after he received his WWE title shot a few days early on the show.

Bryan wrestled the WWE Champion AJ Styles after Shane McMahon made the match official and Styles won clean after Bryan tapped out to the Calf Crusher.

After the match, Samoa Joe attacked both men and then later in the evening he was declared the new number one contender and will now be taking Bryan’s place at Crown Jewel, facing AJ Styles for the WWE title in Riyadh.

Bryan and Cena both wanted out of the show following what happened with the Washington Post columnist and WWE looks like they had no option but to agree.
