WWE will be traveling to Saudi Arabia come October for Crown Jewel. The announcement was made yesterday during SummerSlam. No date was published but it is believed this will happen on Thursday, October 21.
WWE was last in Saudi in February 2020 right before the pandemic started and that show featured Goldberg winning the Universal title from The Fiend Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown in Riyadh.
It was not announced if the show will be taking place in Riyadh or Jeddah. The last Crown Jewel was held in October 2019 and featured Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez for the WWE title and Braun Strowman vs Tyson Fury. That show was also held in Riyadh at the King Fahd International Stadium.
Crown Jewel this year is expected to hold the finals of the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The promo video for the show featured several WWE women as well. WWE has so far only managed one women match on each show for the past couple of times in Saudi after managing to negotiate to have their female roster featured in the super conservative country.
