Cody Rhodes has earned a WWE title shot at SummerSlam after he defeated Randy Orton in the final of the King of the Ring tournament.
The two went head-to-head for 20 minutes in their first match against each other since 2013, with Cody looking like the emotion getting the best of him before things kicked into gear.
Rhodes won the match after a Cross Rhodes and during the coronation, Cody put over Orton as a mentor and asked the crowd to give The Viper a standing ovation.
Cody defeated Andrade, Damian Priest, and Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round and then beat Jey Uso in the semi final to advance.
