CM Punk wins the WWE World Heavyweight title for the second time

CM Punk reached the top of the mountain again last night at Saturday Night’s Main Event, defeating Jey Uso to win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight title.

The match, which main evented the broadcast, involved a couple of GTS’s, spears, and super kicks as both men kicked out of each other’s finishers but one more GTS sent Uso to sleep, at least for the three-count.

Punk’s first reign as the WWE World Heavyweight title champion cut short at SummerSlam when Seth Rollins cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase on him, revealing that his knee injury was not real. This time around, Rollins had to surrender the title because of a legit shoulder injury.

After the match backstage, WWE champion Cody Rhodes helped Punk wrap the title around his waist.
