CM Punk becomes #1 contender for WWE World Heavyweight title at SummerSlam

CM Punk became the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight title after he won a gauntlet match last night on Raw.

But it was Bron Breakker who was the star of the match, defeating Penta, LA Knight, and Jey Uso in succession before Punk entered the ring. At that point, Breakker was already in the ring for over 30 minutes and the match against Punk lasted around 10 more minutes before he lost with the GTS.

The match had interference from Bronson Reed and again from Jey Uso who returned to even the odds for Punk. Punk and Jey were getting their ass handed to them until Roman Reigns returned to make the save!

Punk will now face Gunther at SummerSlam for the title, his second title shot in a row after he lost to John Cena for the WWE title at Night of Champions in late June.
