Chicago to host the 2019 WWE Survivor Series weekend

It’s still one year away but WWE has already chosen Chicago, or better yet, Rosemont, to host next year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view.

“WWE is so proud of our relationship with our fans in Chicago,” said John Saboor, the WWE Executive Vice President of Special Events told The Chicago Tribune. “Allstate Arena, going back to when it was known as Rosemont Horizon, has been such an important partner of WWE, dating back to the ’80s.”

And since this is one of the big four WWE pay-per-views, WWE is also bringing NXT Takeover, Raw, and Smackdown to the city although this time, there will be a change in the order of shows.

With Smackdown moving to Fox in October 2019 on Friday nights, the four-day WWE weekend will start with Smackdown on November 22, NXT Takeover on November 23, Survivor Series on November 24, and Raw on November 25.

“Chicago consistently has an electric atmosphere and audience. It’s really something,” Saboor added. “Our Superstars, with great frequency, mention that Allstate is one of their very favorite venues in the country to compete.”
