Charlotte Flair to star in Walking Tall remake movie for USA Network

Deadline.com is reporting that former Women’s champion Charlotte Flair will be starring as the lead in an upcoming remake of the movie Walking Tall for USA Network.

The two-hour TV movie is hoped to serve as a pilot for future installments or even as a series for USA.

The Walking Tall remake is being written and produced by David Eick and Flair will play a Tucson cop who finds herself caught in a web of fraud, exploitation and murder, and is forced to go full vigilante to protect her home town from falling victim to modern corruption.

The original 1973 movie was rebooted in 2004 with another former WWE champion – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – in the leading role. WWE Studios will be helping in production as well.
