Cena vs Lesnar to kick off Wrestlepalooza

WWE has chosen the perfect match to launch the ESPN era, selecting John Cena vs Brock Lesnar as the match which will kick off the Wrestlepalooza premium live event on Saturday night.

The announcement came via Pat McAfee on his Pat McAfee Show earlier today after a three-minute monologue by McAfee hyping up Cena, Lesnar, the match, and the partnership between WWE and ESPN.

Last week, Joe Tessitore explained on ESPN that the match would headline the show, but things changed along the way and the honor now goes to Cena and Lesnar.

Rumored to be main eventing the broadcast is the tag team match between CM Punk and AJ Lee vs Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

Tickets for Wrestlepalooza, live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana remain available via Ticketmaster.com with the cheapest ticket at $119.60 for a verified resale or $130.50 for a limited view seat for a non-resale ticket.
