An emotional Brock Lensar has seemingly wrestled his final match, putting over Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, and then leaving his gloves and boots in the middle of the ring.
Femi pinned Lesnar clean and even no-sold some of his moves, with the crowd firmly behind the Nigerian ruler.
But once the match was over and Lesnar stayed in the ring, the crowd sensed something was up.
Lesnar started removing his gloves and the fans started a “No! No! No!” chant. He then broke down and cried as he untied his boot laces, perhaps the first time that the WWE Universe has seen this human side of the Beast Incarnate.
Lesnar placed both his gloves and boots in the middle and then stood up to salute the crowd. Paul Heyman entered the ring and embraced Lesnar in a long hug. Both crying, Heyman then raised the arm of his client around the sides of the ring and Lesnar waved goodbye.
It was a scene that came out of nowhere and he was greeted with “Thank you Brock” chants. Before exiting, he dropped on his knees, kissed the ring, and then high-fived fans on the way back up the ramp.
The former multi-time champion put his arms on his heart as fans continued to serenade him. He said thank you and then turned around for the final time before disappearing to the back.
