Brock Lesnar passes the torch to Oba Femi at SummerSlam

Brock Lesnar seemingly passed the torch to Oba Femi last night in the main event of SummerSlam.

The two brawled inside Hell In A Cell in the third match of their series, which was tied at 1-1 until last night. Femi slayed the beast inside the cell, finishing him off with his power bomb.

But what happened after the match is what people are talking about the most. Lesnar, along with Heyman, walked back to the ring and Lesnar hugged Femi and raised his arm.

Brock got the microphone and proclaimed that he’s the past, and Femi is the future.

“Minnesota…and the whole wide world watching this shit tonight,” Lesnar said as Femi exited the ring.

“Come here Oba,” Lesnar said. “Here’s the future of the WWE. Come here Oba, congratulations. This is the future ladies and gentleman.”

“This is the past,” he said pointing to himself. “This is the future,” he continued, pointing to Femi.

Lesnar then exited the ring, letting Femi get all the glory by himself.

In the post-show interview, Femi said he was surprised by Lesnar’s act following the match and wasn’t aware that that was going to happen.

Lesnar is said to be a huge fan of Oba Femi and it was very evident by the post-match gesture, something which Lesnar doesn’t often do. The last man to get the same treatment was Cody Rhodes.
