It looks like Daniel Bryan will be returning to action soon as the current WWE World Heavyweight champion did not surrender his title last night at Payback and his wife Brie quit to prevent McMahon from firing her in front of everyone.

The stipulation was that either Bryan surrenders his title or else Brie would be given the pink slip.

While in the ring, Stephanie McMahon was on the receiving end of some insults and after Brie told her that she can’t control her and that she’s quitting, McMahon started laughing at her only for Brie to slap Stephanie across the face.

“Tonight at #WWEPayback I made the hardest decision, but there’s no way I could of watched my husband @WWEDanielBryan hand over those titles to that brat @stephaniemcmahon,” Brie wrote on her Twitter account after the show. “It hurt to say the words I quit, but felt great to feel my hand across Steph’s face. #payback is a b!tch! #briemode”

The couple got married a week after WrestleMania XXX and they’re already talking about having kids so this could be one of the reasons that Brie is being written off television.
