Both Money in the Bank 2025 winners forced to vacate World titles this year

It was not a particularly great year for Money in the Bank winners this time around, as both winners who successfully cashed-in their contracts, had to vacate their respective titles, although both under completely different circumstances.

Naomi won the WWE Women’s World title at the Evolution pay-per-view, cashing in her briefcase during the Iyo Sky vs Rhea Ripley match on July 13, 35 days after winning the ladder match.

She was forced to vacate the title on August 18, ending her reign after just 36 days. Naomi’s situation though was a happy one as her surrendering of the title was not because of an injury, but because she was pregnant and unable to wrestle.

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins won the WWE World Heavyweight title at SummerSlam, cashing in the briefcase after faking a knee injury after CM Punk won the title from Gunther. He held on to the briefcase for a total of 55 days before cashing in.

The champ was stripped off his title yesterday on Raw due to a shoulder injury which required surgery, with his reign lasting 79 days.
