Becky Lynch slaps CM Punk, plants seeds for AJ Lee return

CM Punk promised Becky Lynch that she will regret putting her hands on him after last night on Raw, she slapped him and chopped him repeatedly in an in-ring segment that has, at least on paper, planted the seeds for an AJ Lee return.

The fans in Paris chanted for Lee while Becky was speaking, and Becky shut them up by saying that they’re the typical crowd that chants for “a dope that doesn’t work here.”

Lynch and Punk went back-and-forth in a tremendous segment, with Becky explaining why The Vision now runs the business. Rollins did appear briefly at the top of the stage, but largely let his wife be the star of the segment.

In a backstage segment with Raw GM Adam Pearce after the in-ring promo, Punk asked where is Smackdown this Friday.

“Chicago…home sweet home. Why?” asked Pearce. “Tremendous,” responded a smiling Punk, leaving Pearce wondering what that means.
