Last night’s RAW was the last time you’re going to see Batista on WWE television for the time being as he is off to do promotion for his upcoming movie, hence the quitting angle.

His new movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, comes out on August 1 in the United States. He plays Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel flick and is joined by Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, and others.

The plan was always for him to leave in June to gear up for the promotion of the movie which will take the former WWE and World Heavyweight champion all over the world with the cast.

Batista is expected to return to WWE once his commitments with the movie are done.
