Baron Corbin returns to WWE on Smackdown, attacks Hayes and Williams

Baron Corbin has returned to WWE on Smackdown.

Corbin interfered in the Trick Williams vs Carmelo Hayes match, attacking both men and finishing them off with his End of Days finisher. Corbin then grabbed the WWE United States title and took a good look at it before dropping it on Williams, suggesting that it will be his first order of business.

Corbin was released from WWE in late 2024 after spending 12 years with the company, starting with NXT. Since leaving WWE, the former football player kept himself busy, wrestling on the independent scene and mostly in MLW where he was a tag team champion with another former WWE talent, Donovan Dijak.

His return to WWE has been rumored for a few weeks and comes at a time when TKO is restructuring contracts for many of its talent, offering pay cuts to hang around.
