Asuka surpasses 500 days as NXT Women’s champion

NXT Women’s champion Asuka became the first individual in NXT to hold a title past the 500-day milestone.

The Empress of Tomorrow has been holding on to the NXT Women’s title ever since she won it from Bayley at NXT Takeover: Dallas during WrestleMania 32 weekend.

By the time NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III comes around this Saturday, Asuka will take over the seventh place in the top 10 longest WWE title reigns in history, surpassing former WWE Women’s champion Rockin’ Robin who stands at 502 consecutive days. There’s no chance of going for sixth place as currently Pedro Morales holds that with 1,027 days.

Asuka takes on Ember Moon at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III this coming Saturday, a show exclusively on the WWE Network.
