Asuka injures her knee, pulled out of weekend live events

PWInsider.com is reporting that Asuka injured her knee during Friday Night Smackdown and was pulled from all weekend non-televised live events to be medically assessed.

At this point it’s unclear if Asuka’s injury will prevent her from wrestling or if it was a minor issue but it looks like the curse of the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles has struck again.

While Asuka and her tag team partner Kairi Sane don’t have a match at WrestleMania yet, it was rumored that the two, along with Dakota Kai, could be involved in a six-woman tag match against Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill.

If her injury will keep her out of the ring for an extended period of time, the tag team titles will once again be declared vacant, something that has happened very often over the last couple of years.
