Angel Garza wins 24/7 title during TikTok’s New Year’s Eve party

There was one final WWE title change in 2020 and just before the clock struck midnight, Angel Garza beat R-Truth to become the new 24/7 champion.

The switch happened during the TikTok’s New Year’s Eve party livestream where Truth, well, was being himself with The New Day, saying that 2019 was a great year but 2020…oh man. “2019 was amazing…but 2020 is where it’s at,” Truth said as he danced.

New Day corrected Truth, telling him they are in 2020 and they will celebrate 2021 now.

“That was a test, dawg,” Truth replied. “I just came back from Australia. I crawled half way and I ran,” he continued, as a WWE referee joined the fray. “You’s in Australia too?” Truth asks the ref.

But at that point, Angel Garza creeped from behind and rolled up Truth to cover him for the three-count and win the title.

R-Truth also lost the 24/7 title at the FOX New Year’s Eve show in 2019 to Mojo Rawley.
