Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal returning to Smackdown next week

The Andre The Giant memorial battle royal will be returning next week and will take place on the final Smackdown before WrestleMania in Las Vegas.

The match, introduced in 2014, was originally part of the WrestleMania show or the Kickoff show, but was then moved to the Smackdown before Mania in 2021. The match has been held annually except for in 2020 due to concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 10 winners so far are Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, Braun Strowman, Jey Uso, Madcap Moss, Bobby Lashley, and Bronson Reed, who was the last one in 2024.

Seven of the winners are no longer with WWE and whoever wins the match does not necessarily benefit from anything special in the short term.
