All women’s titles change hands at WrestleMania 42 Saturday

All the women’s titles which were on the line at WrestleMania 42 swapped hands during the night, with three new champions crowned.

The first title switch came in the third match of the night as Brie Bella and surprise tag team partner Paige defeated Lash Legend and Nia Jax, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria, and Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. This is the first run with the title for both Brie and Paige.

Following that match, Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee to regain the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title. This is the third reign for Lynch with the gold after ending Lee’s 49-day run as champion. Lynch leads the board with the most reigns and most combined days with the Women’s IC title which was introduced in January 2025.

And Liv Morgan finally got her WrestleMania win after she beat Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World title. Morgan had some help from fellow Judgment Day members Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriquez. Vaquer held on the belt for 210 days, winning the then-vacant title at Wrestlepalooza. It’s Morgan’s third run with the title.

The WWE Women’s title will be on the line today at WrestleMania 42 Sunday with Jade Cargill defending against Rhea Ripley.
