All-women pay-per-view Evolution to take place on October 28 in New York

Standing in front of the whole roster, men and women, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H announced the first-ever women-only pay-per-view, titled Evolution, which will take place on October 28 from Long Island, New York at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Raw, Smackdown, NXT, and NXT UK women will all be participating in this pay-per-view and the final of the Mae Young Classic tournament will be held on this show as well.

In addition, former WWE women who paved the way for today’s generation of Superstars and helped shape up the division will also be at Evolution. ESPN.COM reported that both Trish Stratus and Lita have so far been confirmed to be there.

During the unveiling of Evolution, Triple H addressed the roster and said how proud everyone is of them and described the bond that they have between them. He then proceeded to ask the women to step forward as the crowd cheered. “The men that stand behind you, I want you to know how much they truly support you,” Triple H said.

Stephanie then put over the crowd for starting the women’s evolution, starting the #GiveDivasAChance that eventually changed the whole course of the way how WWE look at and book their female talent.

“On October 28, over 50 women – then, now, and forever – will participate in an event called Evolution. And that event I am privileged to announce will be an all-women pay-per-view,” Stephanie said, as the women hugged each other on stage while the men in the background applauded.
