Sami Callihan retires following loss at Emergence

TNA star Sami Callihan has officially retired after losing to Mike Santana yesterday at the Emergence event.

Following the no DQ, no countout match, the two fist bumped each other and Sami removed both his shoes and left them in the middle of the ring just below the TNA logo.

Callihan kissed the mat and covered his face, obviously very emotional about what was happening. He then rolled out of the ring, removed his wrist tape, bowed to the crowd, and walked to the back.

“Everything good in my life is because of wrestling. It’s was a pleasure. On to the next chapter,” Callihan wrote in a post on X afterward.

The 37-year-old has been working for TNA since 2017. He started his wrestling career in 2005.
