Multiple surprises at Slammiversary 2021

Several surprise appearances took place at last night’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.

Perhaps the biggest one was the appearance of Switchblade Jay White, who showed up towards the end of the pay-per-view to confront Kenny Omega. White came out carrying New Japan’s NEVER Openweight title and Omega invited him over to the ring to join him and The Good Brothers but the feed cut off just as someone attacked White.

Mickie James, who now works for the NWA, also appeared on the show and invited Knockouts champion to the NWA EmPowerrr all-female pay-per-view. After a small brawl, James superkicked Purrazzo. Just minutes before, Purrazzo defended her title against Thunder Rosa, who also works for the NWA and All Elite Wrestling.

Chelsea Green returned to Impact Wrestling and was the surprise partner of her boyfriend Matt Cardona as the two took on Bryan Myers and Tenille Dashwood. Green, who wrestled in the promotion as Laurel Van Ness before, still had a cast on her arm but was cleared to compete. Last week she showed up at the ROH.

Former WWE Superstar No Way Jose made his debut for Impact at last night’s show as well and was Fallah Bahh’s mystery partner in the fatal four-way match for the Impact Tag Team titles. He was cut from WWE last year and this was his first time with a major promotion since then. He is now using the name of No Way.
