Mickie James to miss Multiverse United show, given until Rebellion to recover

Impact Knockouts champion Mickie James will also miss the Multiverse United event next week due to her injury, an injury which was revealed to be a broken rib last night on Impact’s Sacrifice show.

James was supposed to defend the title against Jordynne Grace last night but that match did not take place after the promotion announced on Thursday night that James was out injured. She was also defending the title against Miyu Yamashita, Deonna Purrazzo and Gisele Shaw next Thursday at the Impact x NJPW: Multiverse United show but that got pulled too.

Now James has a few weeks to recover and Impact said that if she is unable to compete at the Rebellion pay-per-view on April 16, she has to surrender the title. If she is able to compete, James will defend the title against Jordynne Grace and the winner of the four-way match from Multiverse United featuring Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, Masha Slamovich, and Miyu Yamashita in a triple threat match.
