Masha Slamovich issues statement following domestic abuse allegations

Following reports of alleged domestic abuse, former TNA Knockouts champion Masha Slamovich issued a statement on social media to tell her side of the story.

Slamovich said that she takes responsibility for her actions and she was sorry and embarrassed, however, she was in a “toxic and mutually destructive relationship” where both hurt each other deeply.

TNA has since launched an internal investigation into the matter after a friend of her ex-boyfriend uploaded several photos and texts in a Dropbox folder for the whole world to see.

Slamovich was also removed from tomorrow’s Victory Road show where she was supposed to challenge for the title again.

Her full statement can be read below.

“Up until the beginning of this year, I was in a toxic and mutually destructive relationship. We hurt each other deeply, and in private moments, failed to treat each other with the consideration and respect we both deserve.

I take responsibility for my actions and I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of the role I played in our relationship and the way things turned out.

In the time since, I have sought help to reflect on this time and deal with conflict in more mature, healthier, and sustainable ways.

I apologize to those I let down, including my former partner. I hope he is able to heal.

This will be my only statement on the matter.”
