Kurt Angle makes an appearance at TNA live event in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania

TNA Hall of Famer and former champion Kurt Angle returned at the non-televised event at the Rostraver Ice Arena in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, his first appearance since he underwent neck surgery to remove a tumor in his neck just over two months ago.

Angle did not wrestle during the show but had an in-ring promo announcing that he will return to the ring at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view and vowing to be the TNA World champion one more time. He was interrupted by DJ Z but the Olympic gold medalist attacked him and threw him out of the ring.

“Thank you Pittsburgh for the warm welcome of your #HometownOlympicHero. Much Love,” Angle wrote on Twitter afterward.

Kurt has announced that once his contract is up in January 2016 he will not be re-signing with the company and will be taking a break from professional wrestling. He added that he will not be going to the WWE after the company turned his part-time offer down and only wanted him back on a full-time basis.
