Impact World title changes hands twice at BFG

It was a night of many title changes as six new champions were crowned at Impact’s Bound For Glory last night on pay-per-view. Two titles were vacant, the Tag Team titles were the only ones which did not switch, and the men’s world title switched hands twice before the night was over.

Jordynne Grace started the pre-show by winning the Impact Digital Media title, a new addition to the promotion’s set of titles. Newcomers Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee, collectively known as The IInspiration, won the Impact Knockouts Tag Team titles in their first match. Trey Miguel also won the Impact X Division title in the third title change in a row of the night. And then, the ring veteran Mickie James managed to dethrone Deonna Purrazzo to win her fourth Impact Knockouts title.

Things got interesting as AEW’s Christian Cage lost the Impact World title to Josh Alexander. Alexander, who chose Option C where he voluntarily vacated the X Division title to go for the World title, only spent a few minutes as champion because Moose, who earlier in the broadcast won the Call Your Shot gauntlet match, cashed in his contract and crashed Alexander’s party, beating him in seven seconds to win his first Impact World title.
