Frankie Kazarian wins the TNA World title live on Impact

After spending months chasing the TNA World title and finally winning it at Bound For Glory last month, Mike Santana lost the title in his second title defense last night on the live episode of Impact from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

The first title defense also came yesterday, with Santana defeating Ryan Nemeth via a disqualification after NXT stars invaded the ring and beat down the champion.

That’s when Frankie Kazarian, who had the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy, came out and cashed in on Santana, who was being tended by medical personnel.

Kazarian wasted no time and hit his Fade to Black finisher but Santana managed to kick out. A chicken wing attempt by Kazarian also failed as Santana escaped and tried the rolling lariat, but Santana’s arm gave out and Kazarian rolled him up for the three count.

Santana’s reign lasted just 32 days and this is Kazarian’s first run with the gold.
