Former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta rumored to be interested in purchasing TNA

There are rumors swirling around that Lorenzo Fertitta, the former owner of the UFC, is in the game to purchase TNA Wrestling from Anthem Sports & Entertainment.

Fertitta, who owns a stake in Red Rock Resorts Inc, and who now runs Fertitta Capital, is a billionaire himself and outright taking over TNA would be a drop in a bucket for him considering he has an estimated net worth of $3 billion.

The 56-year-old and his brother Frank bought the UFC in 2001 for $2 million and sold it for $4 billion just 15 years later to WME-IMG. Fertitta is out of the UFC business having sold his remaining shares in the company in 2021.

All these rumors remain, at this point, unconfirmed. Fertitta is a close friend of Dana White and White is obviously part of the TKO leadership, who along with WWE make up the majority of the TKO organization. WWE has a very close relationship with TNA Wrestling at the moment and is helping the company secure a better television deal, rumored to be either The CW or A&E.
