Former World champion Dave Bautista is keeping a busy schedule in Hollywood as Deadline.com is reporting that he is tipped to take the leading role in M. Night Shyamalan’s new top secret movie, Knock at the Cabin.
Shyamalan will write and direct, and also produce the movie for Universal Pictures which is set to premiere on February 3, 2023.
Bautista has starred in Dune recently and was also the lead star in Netflix’s Army of the Dead. He recently wrapped production on Knives Out 2 and is currently shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. He also has Dune 2 on his filming schedule.
Following the conclusion of NXT on USA Network, another departing star, Kyle O’Reilly, came out to embrace Johnny Gargano, who minutes earlier got destroyed by Grayson Waller.
O’Reilly, who lost his cage match against Von Wagner during the show as well, hugged Gargano and they were joined by Tommaso Ciampa in what seems to be an end of an era in NXT. Gargano and Ciampa then entered the ring together for some final poses for the fans.
Both Gargano’s and O’Reilly’s contracts expire this week and O’Reilly has a good chance of rejoining his former Undisputed Era team mates over at All Elite Wrestling.
A very pregnant Candice LaRae and Shawn Michaels also made an appearance and came out for Gargano, who was crying when he hugged Michaels.
You can check out several photos from the post-show below.
Addressing NXT fans in the final segment of last night’s USA Network broadcast, Johnny Gargano admitted that he does not know what his future holds and it’s still up in the air, but one thing he knows he’ll be doing for sure is being a father come February, describing it as the most important job of his life.
An emotional Gargano started his goodbye by saying that HBK told him he can go as long as he wants tonight, a rare opportunity for someone leaving to be given a live mic. Saying he always thought he wasn’t good enough, Gargano said he learned that the best way is to enjoy the moments and thanked William Regal for betting on him by inviting him back for a tryout match. The former NXT champion also thanked a bunch of people in the back who he described as his family.
Unfortunately for Johnny Wrestling, the night didn’t end well for him as Grayson Waller jumped him from behind and hit him with a chair. With the two brawling, Waller inserted Gargano’s head between the chair and proceeded to drive him into the ring steps and later powerbombed him through the announcer’s desk.
Tonight’s episode of NXT 2.0 on USA Network with the fallout from WarGames could very well say goodbye to two of its stars with Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly still not signed to new deals.
Gargano, who addressed the crowd after Takeover last Sunday, will be speaking to the fans on television tonight to explain everything that’s going on and reveal what his future plans are.
Meanwhile, former member of The Undisputed Era Kyle O’Reilly is also rumored to be having his final match tonight, a steel cage match against Von Wagner. O’Reilly and Wagner were tag team partners till Sunday but after losing to Imperium, Wagner turned on O’Reilly. O’Reilly was not fooled though and quickly turned the tables on Wagner, flashing TUE hand sign and also doing the DX crotch chop after he dropped him.
All Elite Wrestling will be filming an episode of Dynamite at the site of WrestleMania IV and V – the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Tickets for this February 9 episode will go on sale on Friday, December 17 at AEWTix.com. An episode of Rampage will also be taped following the conclusion of Dynamite. The arena holds around 10,000 seats.
The Boardwalk Hall hosted the two WrestleManias back-to-back thanks to support of Donald Trump. While the shows were marketed as being held at Trump Plaza, the actual events were held at the nearby Hall, which featured stairs as part of an entrance that was located towards the top of the stands.
FTR – the team of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler – will be resuming their feud with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express as the two teams battle each other at the upcoming Big Time Wrestling event on January 22.
FTR and the legendary tag team of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson crossed paths in AEW last year and it did not go well for the veteran tag team as Morton ended up on the receiving end of a spike piledriver after Gibson was thrown out of the ring.
The attack was part of a segment which also involved Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson, and The Young Bucks as well during the Tag Team Appreciation night.
The BTW Supershow and Fanfest will be held at the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Kairi Sane, the former NXT Women’s champion and WWE Women’s Tag Team title holder is no longer under a WWE contract.
The 33-year-old Japanese star has not wrestled since July 2020 when she left WWE to go back home. Despite leaving, Sane remained under contract and took over the role of a WWE ambassador in Japan and occasionally did commentary for WWE broadcasts in her native language as well.
Sane has been dropping hints of eventually returning to the ring and recently opened a 24-hour fitness gym in Japan named Para-Fit 24.
As you might have noticed, Monday Night Raw has a brand new theme song and it made its debut during last week’s episode.
The song, titled Greatness, is performed by Los Angeles-based artist and composer Vo Williams and his music has been used to drive countless films, TV shows such as Empire, Billions, Ballers, games, and award winning ads around the world.
Greatness blends Beethoven’s Symphony 9 and with Danny Burke’s production and Vo Williams’ song writing, to create a modernized version of the legendary work. Through the lyrics, Vo offers listeners the opportunity to believe in our own visions, and dreams, and to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of our own Greatness.
Williams is an avid wrestling fan and considers this a “full circle moment” for him to be able to contribute to WWE with his music. Earlier this year, Williams was also featured in WrestleMania with his song Only Survivor.
The legalization and subsequent popularity of online betting have been on the rise since its invention. While countries appear to be on track to continue legalizing internet gambling, you’re left to wonder which sort of gambling is better? Each style of gambling has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, as the globe progresses through the internet era, online gambling continues to innovate and improve. Here are seven reasons why gambling at fun88 is a better option than traditional gaming.
It’s Easier to Use
If you don’t reside within driving distance of a casino, then gambling there isn’t a viable option. Even if you can get a complete casino experience online, anything is better than nothing. Picture it’s a Friday night, and you’re feeling lucky. You’ve just finished a grueling week at work and live two hours from the closest casino. Is it better to drive for hours’ round way to gamble or to open your laptop? Online casinos are certainly the most practical when it comes to convenience.
There Are Wider Ranges of Games
The majority of real money online casinos provide a large selection of the most popular casino table games. If you’ve been gambling for a long time, you’ve probably visited a casino only to be unable to find a table. In internet casinos, this issue does not exist. Finding a seat at a blackjack table or a space at the craps tables can be practically tricky during peak hours. However, there appears to be an infinite number of possibilities available online to satisfy any gambler. Furthermore, if you prefer a specific type of game, there’s a risk that brick-and-mortar casinos won’t have it.
A Lot Of Options to Choose From
The sadness of visiting a casino only to discover that it isn’t worth your time is heartbreaking. The majority of gamblers do not have the luxury of hopping from casino to casino in search of one that suits their needs. Gamblers can, however, do precisely that on the internet. When choosing an online casino, players can take a virtual tour to ensure that it is worth depositing. Even if you have a losing streak at an online casino, you may withdraw your funds and try again.
You Don’t Need to Interact with Other Bettors
The majority of gamblers are friendly folks with whom you have a great time gambling. For a variety of reasons, some bettors may feel self-conscious. However, betting on a computer screen with other anonymous players is far less stressful. You might occasionally run into another gambler who irritates you. Interacting with them can quickly sour a trip to the casino, even if they aren’t all that common. When gambling online, these forms of interactions appear to be non-existent. Going to casinos can sometimes be the most excellent part because of the interpersonal interactions. They can, however, be among the worst. You reduce your chances of encountering any degenerative gambler by gaming from home.
Online casinos have a number of advantages and are superior in many respects. The most obvious argument is that they are far more convenient to use. Gambling online is also a preferable alternative for introverts because of the promise of privacy and the absence of interaction with annoying players. Finally, playing at fun88 is safer. Online gambling may be the best option available until the COVID-19 situation is handled.
During a Twitch stream yesterday, Matt Hardy spoke a little bit about his brother Jeff who during the weekend was sent home from the WWE tour after he walked out during a six-man tag match, exiting the arena through the crowd.
Matt said that he did speak to his brother and he’s okay and doing good and thinks he’ll be fine.
“This isn’t my business. If he wants to go into it with more detail, he’ll do it himself. Jeff is okay. He is at home and okay,” Matt said when asked about how his brother is doing. He added that it is not his story to tell and it’s not his job to try and explain what happened.
“I love my brother, and I want him to be okay and healthy,” Matt continued.
Jeff admitted during the Steve Austin Broken Skull Sessions interview that he is on his last strike with WWE and will be gone if he messes up again.
Another match for the Day 1 pay-per-view was confirmed during Monday Night Raw and will feature two recently-returning WWE Superstars going head-to-head.
During the Miz TV segment, The Miz challenged Edge to a one-on-one match on the January 1 pay-per-view, a challenge which was quickly accepted by the WWE Hall of Famer. Edge labeled Miz as “an ass” during the show after Miz went over how years ago when he needed Edge’s help and kindness after he was kicked out of the locker room, he was more interesting in keeping his spot rather than helping him.
There are currently four matches on the show so far including this one along with Big E vs Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens for the WWE title, Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar for the Universal title, and The Usos vs The New Day for the Smackdown Tag Team titles.
AEW star Austin Gunn, the son of Billy Gunn, has been cast on E!’s newest reality TV show titled Relatively Famous: Ranch Rules.
The show will follow eight celebrity kids as they venture to a working ranch in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where they’ll take on a series of outrageous, messy and challenging jobs in an attempt to prove they’re more than just their famous last names. Their work will also try and reopen the ranch after a year of shutdown and loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 27-year-old Gunn is joined by other celeb kids of Martin Lawrence, David Hasselhoff, Shaquille O’Neal, Ray Parker Jr, Billy Bob Thornton, Easy-E, and Neil Giraldo.
The series premieres on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
Rampage this past Friday night on TNT drew 499,000 viewers, up 68,000 viewers from last week’s record low. This was the second least-watched Rampage since it started in August. The show did a 0.18 in the 18-49, same as last week, placing #16 for the day on the top 50 cable chart. (Ratings credit: Showbuzzdaily.com)
Two big matches have been set for tonight’s Monday Night Raw live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Raw women’s title will be on the line as Becky Lynch will be making her first title defense since October against Liv Morgan in what is probably Morgan’s biggest match of her career. “My heart is racing,” tweeted Morgan earlier today ahead of the match. “Today is my day. Watch me,” she continued. The former Riott Squad member has not had much luck in her WWE career so far but a good showing tonight against The Man might change things up.
Becky Lynch, in her usual cocky self, said that while for Liv this is the biggest night of her career, for her, it’s just another Monday. “That’s what happens when you’re Big Time,” Lynch wrote.
Also, a steel cage match will see Big E taking on Kevin Owens in a rematch from last week which ended in a disqualification. The WWE title will not be on the line tonight as both of them, along with Seth Rollins, will fight for the title at the Day One pay-per-view.
And the Rated-R Superstar Edge will be the guest on Miz TV tonight, one week after both men returned to WWE television.
During last night’s WarGames event, WWE announced that the next NXT themed episode will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and will be named New Year’s Evil.
This is the second time that NXT is doing New Year’s Evil, with last year’s show being headlined by Finn Balor vs Kyle O’Reilly for the NXT title. New Year’s Evil is the third theme show of the year for NXT, with Great American Bash and Halloween Havoc also held in June and October respectively.
Last year’s show also had a host, similar to what they do with Halloween Havoc. Dexter Lumis, who popped up last night from under the ring to scare Trick Williams away, was the host of the 2021 edition.
Johnny Gargano will be at NXT tomorrow night in what could be his last time in the WWE ring as his contract expires on December 10.
After WarGames went off the air last night, Gargano spoke to the fans who were chanting “please don’t go” and “we love you.”
Sitting on the turnbuckle, Gargano said, “You’re saying thank you to me, but I should be the one saying thank you to you because without all of you there wouldn’t be a Johnny Wrestling and that’s true.”
He noted that he was tired right now, beat up, sore, and has a lot going through his mind but vowed to tell all tomorrow.
“I am on open book to you guys and 100% honest and 100% authentic because you guys are like my family…but I will tell you guys everything this Tuesday night.”
Gargano also hinted at leaving on Twitter, writing, “Hell of a run.. thank you all,” adding a Johnny Takeover graphic made from the several different gear he used throughout the past several years.
Gargano was offered a new deal but according to multiple insiders that deal was not signed. The only thing he signed was a one-week contract extension which enabled him to wrestle at WarGames as his original deal was up on December 3.
The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) analyzed the responses of 962 respondents and determined that friends and family play a vital role in shaping the habits of casino fans. The regulator published this statement in a study that examined the behavior of young people from 16 to 30 years old who like to try their luck in casinos and bookmakers. It argues that advertising and marketing played a lesser role in influencing young people’s interest in gambling. More details of the study – read below.
Key Research Insights
The UKGC study is intended to complement a broader research program aimed at examining the experiences of people at the best online casino prone to gambling addiction. Its results should provide a “deeper understanding of the Commission’s role”.
“Consumer protection is at the core of everything we do. It is important that everyone understands how young people start gambling, what products they prefer, and what factors influence their relationship with the gambling industry. This work is an important part of our broader research program on the latest trends in the UK gambling sector.” explained Tim Miller, Executive Director of the Commission.
The findings indicate that young people are most likely to develop an addiction after gaining independence from their parents. The agency found that independent life “unties the hands” of many less socially responsible citizens who subsequently experience problems with gambling addiction.
The results also showed that as citizens got older, their behavior in the casino did not stay the same. On the contrary, it fluctuates depending on personal experience of victories and defeats, as well as changes in lifestyle and social responsibility.
Educational Programs for Youth
British charitable organization “Gambling with Lives” has created a groundbreaking education program for young people. The initiative aims to prevent the harmful effects of gambling on the younger generation and will be piloted in schools in Essex, Manchester, and Northern Ireland.
According to a press release published by the company, the project aims to influence education for teenagers in the field of gambling, and also intends to solve the problem of the lack of information and assistance currently available in this area. Speaking about the initiative, Gambling with Lives’ education chief said: “What makes this program unique is that it takes a sober view of the role of various gambling addictive products. It also evaluates the role of marketing, which is very important.
He added: “We can protect young people by providing objective and evidence-based information and raising awareness of how addiction occurs. But education is not enough, so we need real changes in regulation to protect young people.”
What distinguishes this initiative from other charity programs is that it focuses on how addictive services work, and the impact of industry marketing. The risks of developing gambling addiction will be explained by those who have experience in fighting the disease.
Jeff Hardy was sent home over the weekend and removed from the remainder of the tour after an incident during the Saturday night live event in Edinburg, Texas according to PWInsider.com.
Hardy, who teamed up with Xavier Woods and Drew McIntyre on the show to take on Roman Reigns and The Usos, was described as being “sluggish” in the ring and after making the tag at one point, Hardy exited the arena through the crowd and was followed by security. He never returned to the ring to finish the match.
On the Sunday night live event, Hardy was replaced by Rey Mysterio in his match.
At this point it’s unclear what led to this but in his recent interview with Steve Austin, Hardy made it clear that he has no more chances in WWE and if he screws up one more time – talking about drugs and alcohol – he will be gone.
Unfortunately, Hardy has a history of relapsing multiple times and hopefully everything turns out good for him.
You can see the video of him making the tag and leaving below.
Here are the results from NXT WarGames 2021 event which took place live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Io Shirai, Raquel Gonzalez, Cora Jade, and Kay Lee Ray defeated Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai in the WarGames match; Imperium defeated Kyle O’Reilly and Von Wagner to retain the NXT Tag Team titles; Cameron Grimes defeated Duke Hudson in a hair vs hair match; Roderick Strong defeated Joe Gacy to retain the NXT Cruiserweight title; Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Grayson Waller, and Tony D’Angelo defeated Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne, and LA Knight in the WarGames match.
Another NXT star might be on the way out as PWInsider.com is reporting that Kyle O’Reilly has not signed a new deal yet and his contract with WWE finishes this week as well.
O’Reilly was offered a new deal, but that remains on the table unsigned as of today and just like Gargano, he could be walking out of WWE after tonight’s event.
If O’Reilly decides to leave, he would be the third Undisputed Era member to depart the company. His former tag team partner Bobby Fish was released by WWE a few months ago and Adam Cole decided to leave in August. Both Cole and Fish are now signed to All Elite Wrestling and rejoining his former team mates could be on the horizon for O’Reilly.
