The participation of Jacob Fatu for tomorrow’s Clash in Italy premium live event is in serious jeopardy as there are reports that Fatu might not be cleared to compete due to the injury he suffered on Thursday night at a non-televised live event in Liverpool, England.
The word going around is that WWE creative is looking into alternative options, or plan B, should Fatu not get a green light from the WWE medical team.
Fatu is part of the main event of Clash in Italy, facing Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match for the WWE World Heavyweight title. WWE already announced that Cody Rhodes vs Gunther for the WWE title will open the broadcast on ESPN.
Fatu defeated Solo Sikoa in a street fight in Liverpool and was limping heavily after the match and the injury was back related.
WWE Superstars Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne have declared themselves for the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.
The tournaments will kick off this coming Monday on Raw live from Turin, Italy.
The return of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments was announced last week by LA Knight, who also said he’s putting his name in the hat for the tournament.
WWE did not officially announce the brackets, or all participants, yet.
The finals of the two tournaments take place at the Night of Champions PLE in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in late June. The winners will receive a title shot at SummerSlam in Minneapolis.
The WWE special titled WWE: Made in America will air on USA Network tonight right after the conclusion of Smackdown at 11PM ET.
The one-hour broadcast is hosted by Joe Tessitore and WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart and will feature exclusive interviews from Cody Rhodes, Triple H, The Undertaker, Kane, and many others.
WWE: Made in America forms part of USA Network’s America 250 Celebration programming.
A preview of Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman season two will follow at Midnight.
Both Sol Ruca and Jacob Fatu, who have title matches on Sunday at Clash in Italy, are reportedly suffering from injuries.
Ruca suffered an injury during her Saturday Night’s Main Event match against Becky Lynch, although it’s unclear what the injury is. WWE Women’s Intercontinental champion Becky Lynch poked fun at Ruca on X, saying she “hopes” that she makes it to Italy “although she’s not medically cleared.”
Meanwhile, Fatu was injured and limping following his non-televised live event match against Solo Sikoa yesterday in Liverpool, England. Just like Ruca, the nature of his injury or how bad it is remains unknown. Fatu is in the main event of Clash in Italy in a Tribal Combat match against Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight title.
The Huffington Post is reporting that President Donald Trump purchased shares in TKO on March 25.
The exact number of shares were not disclosed, but a financial disclosure filing on May 12 reveals that Trump purchased between $15,001 and $50,000 of TKO shares.
Trump’s White House is set to host UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn next month. Trump is a huge fan of the UFC, great friends with Dana White, and is obviously close to WWE being part of its Hall of Fame and also making numerous appearances along the years.
On yesterday’s episode of SiriusXM’s The Nikki and Brie Show, Nikki Garcia talked about passing her recent sports testing and training for her comeback.
During the episode, Nikki Garcia shared about her specialized training schedule and how because of this sports test she is going to come back to the ring better than before.
Nikki Garcia on her sports testing and training for her comeback (27:48- 31:00)
Nikki Garcia: So this though, mom helped me out on the Friday one and then Matteo came with me Saturday, but I didn’t realize it was my sports testing with the surgeons and everyone.
Brie Garcia: So were they all in the room or Zoom?
Nikki Garcia: No, not Zoom, but it’s like, “Hey, let’s do her sports testing.” And then they look at the results. So then Carlo has a protocol and then, but what was important about this testing was, this is where they test strength, ballistic, all the different things to see where I’m at and where I’m at on the healing is safe to start to do quite a bit of activity, but in a safe way so you don’t re-injure the bones or the torn ligaments, but this is where they do a lot of testing to be like “Okay, this is where if she does this program and works this hard, she can be, she can make this like be 100% in the ring,” let’s just say. So I was like, “Oh my gosh, like you have to give it your all.” So I do that Friday and Saturday. So after then when we finished Saturday and Brie, all the testing, I was like, damn, it’s like hitting just maxes on everything, right? And then running, jumping, all the things, side to sides with that. And that was in the strength set. That’s the ballistic stuff, right? But when you’re not, when you’re coming off of Vegas, not prepared for that.
Brie Garcia: I know. It’s almost like you should have waited a couple of days.
Nikki Garcia: But that’s when you’re looking at time, when you think weeks and then he looks at me and I was like, “What?” And then he gives me a high five. He goes, “You made it.” But you know, I will say this testing, I feel like anyone who’s coming in, whether it’s out of retirement or someone who hasn’t, let’s just say, been in the ring for a while, I feel like everyone needs to do this testing. Because what’s crazy is you’re on machines and you have computers. And then there’s other type of testing they do just with, you know, just with the PT. But what they’re testing is your age, weight, bone density, with your muscle mass. Everything goes all together and it tells you the exact percentage you’re at before 100 percent. So hey, this is your percentage and this is how much you’re off to be the best of you. So there’s no re-injury. So then you could be the best performer. You can be. And I’m like, actually on this comeback, I’m going to come back better than I did because now I’m going to know exactly where I’m at physically. And like now I know where I have to push myself. And it’s crazy because I didn’t have this kind of program. So now just to know that two days a week has to be strictly calf strengthening. But like, I’ve never had that before. So like two days is just only calf strengthening. Three days is all my other strengthening. So quads, glutes, upper body. And then one day is just straight ballistic training. Like it’s the side to sides, running, pushing off, jumping up and down, jump roping, jump high, jump low, step down, one leg jump off this way, like left or right. You know what I mean? That kind of training is really important.
The Nikki & Brie Show hosted by Nikki & Brie Garcia is available anytime on the SiriusXM app. New episodes every Monday and Thursday. Listen to the full episode here.
Fans around the world will be able to watch Friday Night Smackdown before viewers in the United States today as the show takes place live from the Olimpic Arena in Barcelona, Spain.
Kicking off at 8PM Central European Time, Smackdown airs live on Netflix but in the U.S., the show will air on tape delay in the usual 8PM ET time slot on USA Network.
This is the first of a couple of live broadcasts from Europe as WWE visits the continent for 11 events. Raw on Monday is from Turin, Italy, Smackdown next week is from Bologna, Italy, and Raw on June 8 is from Paris, France.
There’s only one match announced so far, with Spain’s own Axiom taking on The Miz. Cody Rhodes will also address Gunther’s attack and Jade Cargill has a final message for Rhea Ripley.
Front Office Sports has a story on WWE’s use of YouTube and how they keep attracting new viewers, especially with the addition of the live AAA broadcasts to their channel.
The main WWE YouTube channel is home to 113 million subscribers and WWE has recently started branching out to new channels, including the popular WWE Vault channel.
“The success of that came with no new resources [needed],” Steve Braband, Head of Digital Media at WWE, told FOS.
As of mid-May, the Vault channel, which hosts full episodes of WWE classics from decades ago, had 133.6 million hours viewed over the previous year, a 131% year-over-year growth.
“We tapped into a few people that were passionate about our archive, saw the engagement on our main channel, and just moved our whole vault to this page,” Braband continued. “We’re about to hit the four-million sub mark — and it shocks me every week how some content does.”
WWE is treating YouTube as a top priority, using it to promote events while fans share their videos online for added exposure.
“We’re able to all share ideas across the board within production and social—we’re not just on our social island,” Braband said.
WWE told FOS that all their YouTube channels combined had more than 12 billion views over the past year.
Their next big event is AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes, which airs tomorrow live on both WWE’s and AAA’s channels and features the highly-anticipated match between the two El Grande Americanos.
Appearing on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, Ronda Rousey dismissed any more appearances for AEW, at least for the time being.
Her comments come after AEW President Tony Khan told reporters during a conference call prior to Double or Nothing that Rousey is welcome to make appearances in AEW any time she wants.
The former Raw and Smackdown Women’s champion shocked the wrestling world at Revolution, showing up unannounced to help her friend Marina Shafir.
“No, that life of being on the road is probably more time consuming than doing training camp at home,” Rousey told Adams. “I had a great time, but it just happened to be in town and my best friend was there, you know what I mean?”
Rousey would later classify her surprise at Revolution as a “f*ck you” to TKO after the UFC failed to take on her fight against Gina Carano and pay them what they thought would be appropriate.
Samoa Joe will be off AEW television for a while as he will be busy filming the third season of the Peacock series Twisted Metal.
Production on the series, where Joe portrays the character of Sweet Tooth, commences in mid-June and is expected to wrap up in late August.
Joe announced his temporary departure during the Collision episode yesterday in a backstage segment, where he told fellow members of The Opps that Hollywood “came calling” and advised them to keep things going while he was out.
Logan Paul has undergone successful surgery to repair a torn triceps and said that doctors gave him a six-month timeline to return to the ring.
But “The Maverick” hopes to get back sooner than that and said he’ll be back “in a couple of weeks.”
Paul suffered the injury during the Saturday Night’s Main Event match against The Street Profits where The Vision defended their WWE World Tag Team titles. Bron Breakker has now replaced Paul as Austin Theory’s partner with the gold.
“Tore my tricep, got surgery while wide awake, told doc I wanna feel it all,” Paul wrote on Instagram. (Warning: graphic images)
“They’re telling me 6 month recovery but I don’t believe them, I’ll be back in a couple weeks with some @drinkprime shake (32g protein),” he continued, telling Theory, Breakker, and Heyman to keep the title warm for him while also telling Bronson Reed to go hang out!
Smackdown last Friday night drew 1,258,000 viewers, up 74,000 viewers from the previous episode. The show had a 0.29 rating in 18-49, up 0.06 from the prior week and was #2 on the top 50 cable chart for the night and #3 in overall television behind NHL and NBA playoffs. Following a visit to the Black x Brave Wrestling Academy, John Cena had another pit stop, this time at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
The 17-time champion spent hours at the facility, talking with NXT stars. It was his first stop at the Performance Center since he announced the John Cena Classic where stars from NXT will take on main roster Superstars in a future event.
AJ Styles, who like Cena is now retired and working for WWE, also visited two training centers this week.
First, Styles stopped by Fight The World Wrestling Academy, a wrestling school in Pinellas Park, Florida, a school run by Bryan Idol, Mike Mondo, and Natalia Markova.
“Most people never even get CLOSE to a ring…our students are learning directly from people who’ve main-evented WrestleMania, traveled the world, and actually lived this business,” FTW’s social media account said. “Thank you to The Phenomenal One AJ Styles for a great class! See you again soon.”
He then surprised Nattie on her 44th birthday as she held a class with her husband TJ Wilson at their Dungeon.
“I had the most PHENOMENAL birthday today sweating with my Dungeon family alongside @AJStylesOrg,” Nattie wrote on X. “AJ gave us all the answers to the test… and then some. He got in there, wrestled, pushed us, and shared his knowledge with everyone in the room.”
Nattie described Styles as “one of the greatest wrestlers of our generation” and said she couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift.
Polish players have a lot of options when exploring the online casino Poland market. Offshore platforms fill the void left by Totalisator Sportowy’s monopoly on regulated sports betting by offering comprehensive online casino games with BLIK and Przelewy24 payment support. They feature thousands of online casino slots from innovative providers such as Nolimit City, Hacksaw Gaming, and Evolution live dealers who operate seamlessly across Play and Orange networks from bustling cities to rural settings.
Since the 2017 Gambling Act amendments limited domestic licensing to sportsbooks and VLT networks, experienced players prefer established MGA and Curacao-licensed operators with Polish-language interfaces. The casinos offer competitive PLN bonuses and cryptocurrency withdrawal options that avoid banking restrictions. However, they maintain EU-standard security protocols familiar to Central European gamblers.
We performed extensive hands-on testing with more than 140 hours spent evaluating payout speeds during festive casino rushes and directly verifying licences through MGA and Curacao regulatory portals. We checked Polish-language support interactions during peak hours and benchmarked mobile app performance across typical Polish Android devices, which account for 70% of the market.
Platforms with five or more years of operational stability, native PLN processing without fees, massive game libraries, and independently verified RTP rates of 96% or higher stood out. These sites offered comprehensive responsible gambling mechanisms aligned with European regulatory best practices.
Polish Online Gambling Scenario
Poland maintains one of Europe’s most stringent online casino regulatory frameworks under the Ministry of Finance’s oversight, with Totalisator Sportowy holding exclusive rights to online sports betting through brands such as STS and Fortuna. VLT operations are centred in land-based Total Casino venues throughout major cities. The 2017 Gambling Act regulations explicitly prohibited foreign operators from targeting Polish players. However, regulations focus primarily on advertising restrictions rather than individual account access. It allows for practical marketplace access to MGA/Curacao-licensed platforms via standard internet connections. BLIK mobile payments process 80% of domestic gaming transactions by 2025. National Bank of Poland data is supplemented by Przelewy24 bank transfers and cryptocurrency channels, allowing for privacy-focused play. Winnings over 2,280 PLN result in a 10% prize tax collection at payout.
Selection Criteria for Top Platforms
Platforms were selected based on their current MGA or Curacao licensure. It can be verified through official regulatory registers. Each casino offers at least 1,500+ approved games with approx. 96%+ RTP from Pragmatic Play, Evolution Gaming, and regional developers. PLN deposits are handled within 90 seconds via BLIK or Przelewy24. Bonus wagering is limited to a maximum of 40x across qualified titles. Polish-language support is available 24/7 via live chat and phone. Mobile applications maintained 95%+ uptime over the Play and Orange networks. Self-exclusion techniques and deposit limitation frameworks were part of a comprehensive set of responsible gambling instruments.

Italian football legend Roberto Baggio surprised Gunther with a special video while Gunther was being interview for a podcast on the Netflix Italia YouTube channel.
A while ago, Gunther was photographed sporting a Baggio Italy t-shirt while he was training and that caught the attention of the popular, now retired, footballer.
During the interview, the hosts told Gunther that they had a surprise for him and loaded the video that Baggio sent.
“Hi, Gunther, it’s Roby. I saw the pictures of you wearing my jersey during training. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it,” he said. “I hope all of this brings you good luck for Clash In Italy, and of course for your life in general. Big hug, see you soon, ciao!”
Gunther was really appreciative of the gesture and said that he has to talk to the WWE folks to get Baggio to the show on Sunday night.
The 59-year-old was one of the most prolific strikers in the history of Italian football and finished his career with 291 league goals across 643 appearances for club and 27 goals in 56 appearances for country.
When searching for the best online betting sites in Germany, many users focus on whether a platform is “licensed in Germany.” But holding a German license means more than legal permission; it dramatically shapes what a betting site can and cannot offer. Under Germany’s reformed State Treaty on Gambling (GlüStV 2021), the bar to entry is set higher than in almost any other EU country.
The GlüStV framework imposes strict limitations on everything from betting options to advertising, and even how much you’re allowed to deposit within a given month. For many players, this means a reduced variety of sports markets, no live casino options, mandatory verification steps, and persistent compliance popups. It’s important to recognize that while these measures protect users, they can also make the experience less fluid compared to what’s found elsewhere.
In short, a legal German license assures safety and regulation, but it doesn’t guarantee a user-friendly interface or exciting bonuses. “Legal” platforms may not always live up to the experience bettors expect after seeing the marketing of top online bookmakers elsewhere.
Not all licenses are equal (even in Europe)
Beyond Germany’s borders, several other licensing authorities operate within Europe, and not all offer the same level of protection or restrictions for German users. The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) license, for example, is renowned for strict technical and player protection standards, yet it permits more flexible site designs and a wider array of features than GlüStV permits. Cyprus and Gibraltar also host betting sites accepting German players, but with even less oversight regarding local regulatory nuances.
Many “new bookmakers online” legally operate under EU licenses and appear on “top 10 online bookmakers” lists, even though these sites may technically not be compliant with Germany’s own national laws. This puts players in a legal grey zone: the bookmaker might be fully legitimate in Malta, but not recognized within Germany’s regulatory system. Choosing where to play thus becomes a matter of deciding which jurisdiction’s standards matter most to you—national security, EU flexibility, or ease of access.
Ultimately, top online bookmakers that seem popular across Europe may stand on shaky legal ground from the German perspective, making it crucial for players to be aware of the licensing differences that actually impact their protection and payout rights.
Why “best betting sites” lists are usually misleading
It’s almost effortless to find a top 10 online bookmakers list tailored for German players with just a quick search. But many of these rankings are shaped less by user protection and legal conformity than by affiliate marketing deals behind the scenes. The more bettors click through or sign up, the greater the payout for the site publishing the ranking.
This commercial bias leads to widely varying “top” lists that favor bookmakers offering the highest commissions, regardless of their actual suitability for German users. Some sites will even re-rank platforms based on who pays more for inclusion or premium placement, obscuring genuinely safe or best online bookmakers in the process.
When pursuing objective advice, be wary of lists that recycle the same 5-10 names, especially when they highlight bonuses or easy sign-up processes over licensing, player protection, or real compliance with German law.
What actually matters in Germany (it’s not bonuses)
For German bettors, the true hallmarks of quality have changed. Gone are the days when hefty welcome bonuses or flashy interfaces could be trusted as indicators of the best online bookmakers. Now, the focus should be on compliance and user safeguards, including:
Legal status: Is the bookmaker licensed under German law, or simply “legal” elsewhere?
Deposit and loss limits: GlüStV mandates monthly deposit limits and sometimes loss limits for local licensees.
OASIS self-exclusion: Registered German operators must allow users to exclude themselves from all betting sites with one request.
Payment methods: Germany-licensed sites limit certain payments (e.g., no credit card deposits for betting) while also ensuring rapid withdrawals and transparent fees.
Compliance friction: Expect additional checks, verification demands, and popups; frustrating, but a sign of robust player protection.
These criteria may not be as exciting as bonuses or international odds, but they’re what actually define safety and trustworthiness within the German market.
How to quickly check if a betting site is legit
Assessing whether a betting site is genuinely safe for German users can be surprisingly straightforward if you know what to look for. Use this quick checklist before depositing any money:
License verification: Check the footer or about section for a valid German license number. Cross-check it against the official Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder database.
German compliance indicators: Does the site mention German-specific deposit limits, OASIS, or local responsible gambling tools? If so, it’s a good sign.
Responsible gambling tools: Look for self-exclusion links, spending limits, or support contacts for problem gambling.
Red flags: Avoid sites that use only foreign languages, require no verification, or make it difficult to withdraw winnings—these usually signal offshore status and greater risk.
Taking just a few moments to review these details can spare you headaches and protect your deposits in the long run.
So what are the best betting sites in Germany?
Germany does not have a single “best bookmaker.” Instead, the market is split between fully regulated domestic operators and EU-licensed platforms that still serve German users under different compliance frameworks.
Highest legal certainty, most controlled experience
888sport
Gibraltar (Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner)
Strong sportsbook infrastructure, international betting coverage, established global brand
Not fully aligned with German regulatory framework, bonus and product variations by region
Balanced EU operator with mid-level regulation
Betsson
Malta (MGA – Malta Gaming Authority)
Broad sportsbook, strong mobile platform, competitive odds in many markets
Subject to German restrictions where applicable, bonus limitations in regulated context
Strong international bookmaker with flexible offering
Ultimately, the “best” choice depends less on rankings and more on how much weight you give to regulation vs. flexibility vs. product depth in Germany’s tightly controlled betting market.
AEW commentator Jim Ross revealed on this week’s episode of his Grilling JR podcast that he fell last weekend prior to flying to New York for Double or Nothing, describing the whole weekend as “not a good one” for him.
Ross said that his travel person arranged for a Saturday 6AM pick up to fly to New York, something that he lamented because he found no reason why he would he go to NY so early for a pay-per-view which only starts on Sunday night.
“It makes no sense. You know…I’m not 17 anymore,” Ross said.
But JR missed his flight because he fell in his home and his phone was not with him to get help.
“If I had my phone with me, I could have got a little bit of help. As a result of that, I missed my flight,” Ross recounted.
After arriving in his room and then having a drink with fellow commentator Excalibur, Ross said that he went back to his hotel room and his back locked up.
“I laid on the bed, put my ass on the edge of the bed, and just relaxed. Well…little did I know, my back was going to go out on me,” Ross continued. “So now I’m in the hotel with my back out and I can’t function. So it was just a horrible experience.”
JR only did commentary for one match, the one between Jon Moxley and Kyle O’Reilly, and said that if he had known before that he would be flown in just for one match, he would have talked to Tony Khan about it.
JR said that he has to find a doctor now because of his several falls, while also dealing with a neurologist about his dementia/Alzheimer’s risk.
He said that he’s feeling really sore and he has the worst luck sometimes.
“I got to find the right doctor that can get me back rolling, because my legs are really weak. And on Saturday morning, one of my legs just went out from under me. It went like a piece of spaghetti,” Ross added. “So…anyhow, flying back, I could have stayed home, maybe I should have. But I like working, and I love pro wrestling!”
