Jeff Hardy arrest footage published, three officers draw their guns surrounding car

TMZ.COM posted the six-minute footage from Jeff Hardy’s arrest yesterday afternoon, with three police officers surrounding the car and each of them drawing their guns.

Florida Highway Patrol officers repeatedly told Jeff to come out and eventually he exited the vehicle and was immediately grabbed by an officer and checked for any weapons. Hardy could be seen very shaky and then sat down on the floor. Asked where he’s from, Jeff said from North Carolina and said his final destination was North Carolina as well. He also tells the officer that he has a doctor’s appointment to check for a brain scan.

One of the officers then explains how they got several 911 calls about him and that he was driving all over. Jeff was told to stand up and then the officers engaged in a discussion with him.

Hardy then admits having shots of fireball and the officers proceed to tell Jeff to walk in a straight line, which he fails spectacularly. One of the officers then tells him to count to 30 as he places handcuffs on him and tells him he was under arrest.

Matt Hardy and wife Reby comment on Jeff’s arrest

Reby Hardy, the wife of Matt Hardy, posted a TikTok video after news came out that Jeff was arrested which divided the opinions of many fans.

In the video, Reby is seen hilariously praying with the text saying, “Praying my husband doesn’t get hurt in his ladder match this Wednesday.” Then all of a sudden the video transitions to Tiger King’s Joe Exotic saying “Guess what motherf*cker?” and “Jeff Hardy” written on it. The video was eventually deleted.

Matt, Jeff, and Reby were all at a meet and greet together on Sunday at Dave & Buster’s in Orlando and Jeff was arrested following that event.

Reby was never shy of calling out Jeff for his mistakes throughout the years, especially when those mistakes interfered with her husband’s career. Reby and Jeff’s wife Beth also are not best of friends as Reby often blamed Beth for not taking a harder stance against her husband for his alcohol addiction.

Meanwhile, Jeff’s brother Matt broke his silence on Twitter, writing that it was disheartening to hear the news about Jeff yesterday.

“Recovery isn’t a linear process & I’ll continue doing whatever I can to help my brother be healthy. Being healthy & well is the most important thing for Jeff, his wife, his children & our family at this time,” he wrote.

The planned WWE tour for August in Australia and New Zealand has been postponed again and is being rescheduled.

WWE was set to visit Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and Auckland in New Zealand for a quick, three-day tour.

Stipulation added to Reigns vs Riddle WWE title match

This Friday, the Undisputed WWE title will be defended for the first time since Roman Reigns won it at WrestleMania, with former Raw Tag Team title holder Riddle getting his shot.

Reigns has not wrestled on WWE television since the WrestleMania Backlash premium live event and was recently removed from Money In The Bank. He also missed the Hell In A Cell show. Reigns, so far, is still advertised for SummerSlam and Clash at the Castle, both stadium events.

Addressing his release, Donovan wrote, “Thank you to everyone who’s reached out. Mistakes happen and lessons are learned. A bump in the road doesn’t define me though. I’ll be back.”

The West Virginia native was signed to a WWE deal in March of this year and made his NXT debut a month later.

Paige: “I feel like I can compete again. 1000%”

Former WWE Divas champion Paige addressed her upcoming departure from WWE during a Twitch stream yesterday, saying it was the company who decided not to renew her contract while she wanted to stay and do more.

She admitted that they were not using her at all and understands why they would not re-sign her, although she wasn’t happy that WWE took a lot of time to make the decision, leaving her hanging.

“There are opportunities I could have done. I think they just want to focus on people who are wrestling,” the Brit said.

Despite all, Paige said she’s thankful for what the company did for her and for keeping her employed and noted that they took care of her when she had other issues.

She said she has no no-compete clause and can show up anywhere any time after July 7. Asked if she’s ready to get in the ring again, Paige said she would if the money was right.

“I feel like I can compete again, yeah. 1000%.”

Lacey Evans advances to the 2022 MITB ladder match

The returning Lacey Evans was the first person to qualify for the Money In The Bank ladder match last night on Smackdown after she beat Xia Li in her qualifying match.

What’s interesting is that the graphic for the ladder match had seven silhouettes and typically there are eight entrants in the ladder match. That means there will probably be one mystery entrant who will not have a qualifying match as the match always has an even number of participants. In 2020 there were six women when the cinematic match was taped simultaneously with the men’s match.

The other qualifying match, between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, ended in a double disqualification. Both men later barged in Adam Pearce’s office and demanded to be inserted into the match.
