While crediting Vince McMahon for the opportunity to have his wife and son see him wrestle again, former WWE Universal champion Goldberg had another interesting choice of words to describe the TKO Executive Chairman.
Appearing as a guest on the Steven & Captain Evil podcast, Goldberg described McMahon as “the big boss” and the one who makes everything happen.
“In all honesty, he gave me the opportunity to put my wife and son on the front row and gave me the ability to perform again in front of them,” Goldberg said. “So, I owe him everything…until we went to Saudi Arabia and he asked me to put Roman Reigns over and I had COVID.”
Goldberg recounted the moment he called Vince to tell him he was still recovering from COVID effects ahead of the Saudi Arabia show but wanted to come through as long as Vince made him a promise.
Goldberg said he told McMahon that he’ll do it as long as he gives him his retirement match.
“I did what he asked. As a performer I was 56 years old. As a human being you’re conscientious about how you look in a bathing suit, especially two months prior to being in that bathing suit, you couldn’t work out because you had COVID,” Goldberg said.
He said that he put himself in a “horribly shitty situation,” to get what he wanted to and give Vince what he wanted, but there was one problem: Vince never gave him what they agreed to.
“Problem is he never held up his bargain. Vince is a piece of shit as far as I’m concerned,” Goldberg said.
That Roman Reigns match in Saudi remains Goldberg’s last ever match and his plans to have a self-promoted retirement match didn’t materialize yet. He also revealed that he did try to get involved in Sting’s retirement match but those plans didn’t work out either.
Seth Rollins closed the Madison Square Garden show last night with a tribute to Brodie Lee and Bray Wyatt.
After beating Drew McIntyre and retaining the WWE World Heavyweight title, Rollins got on the microphone to address the fans.
“Today is the 26th of December, a few years back, my good friend, our good friend, Brodie Lee passed away. I miss him,” he said. “And a few months ago we lost Windham Rotunda as well.”
Rollins then said that earlier in the night when the lights went down, he saw some fireflies in the crowd.
“So look, here’s the deal, they’re kicking me out of here we got a curfew but I’m not leaving this building until you guys light this place up with those fireflies and you sing my damn song so loud Brodie and Windham can hear you,” Rollins said.
And after a countdown, the fireflies went up, the house lights went down, and MSG sang Rollins’ song just as requested.
“I love you forever, get home safe everybody,” Rollins continued before he left the ring.

The Grizzled Young Veterans will be making their TNA Wrestling debut at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 13.
The former NXT UK Tag Team champions said in a video promo that while they are not top veterans in the business, they are veterans that TNA needs to work with because The Rascalz and The ABC are not the right tag team for the job.
James Drake and Zack Gibson fired off a warning to the current TNA Tag Team champions, saying that at Hard To Kill, they’re coming for the titles.
Drake and Gibson worked for WWE until this past October when their contracts expired and they chose not to renew them. They had previously asked for their WWE release but it was shot down. Before departing WWE, they were wrestling as The Dyad as part of the Schism faction with Joe Gacy and Ava.
The taped episode of Friday Night Smackdown on FOX drew 2,108,000 viewers last week, down 132,000 viewers from the prior week. In the 18-49 demo, Smackdown pulled a 0.55 rating, on par with the previous show and was the #1 show on television that night. (Ratings credit: Wrestlenomics)
You have spent years watching your favorite wrestlers fight in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) matches. The excitement of sports is indeed overwhelming as you watch wrestlers get into action to entertain the audience. But do you know that the excitement extends beyond the activity? Numerous WWE betting sites offer thrilling experiences to bettors.
Do you intend to sign up with a WWE betting site? One crucial step you should take is to check out different online betting sites that analyze wrestling. You can easily find many of them on the internet. However, not all of them are good for you. In this article, we’ll unveil the factors best online betting sites that specialize in wrestling analysis should watch out for. Let’s get right into it.
Wrestling Betting Analysis
One significant way to boost your winning chances in gambling is to find and use reliable online betting review sites. Betpack.com and other trusted review platforms are created to help bettors make informed decisions on the best sites for them. They help evaluate and rank bookies based on different factors. This can also be expressed in wrestling analysis.
Several online betting sites analyze wrestling. These platforms help bettors interpret wrestling by exploring, observing, and understanding the unique dynamics of the sport. They are experts in assessing match setups, studying match history, examining wrestlers and their styles, covering laying lines, researching external factors, and considering reserving factors. Visiting these betting sites will boost your decision-making capability when gambling on wrestling matches.
However, you need to understand that no perfect strategies and analyses exist. All the available ones will not consistently guarantee success. But you can increase your winning chances by using them. As far as WWE is concerned, gamblers should understand that some outcomes are predetermined; nonetheless, you may need to watch out for unexpected twists and turns at times.
How The Best Online Betting Sites Analyze Wrestling
Wrestling is one of the most popular sports in the world. It is an exciting one that commands the interest of numerous people. As one of the most enticing sports with a large audience, wrestling has given its lovers, who are bettors, the opportunity to make money. There are betting sites that allow gambling on the outcomes of wrestling matches. But the betting journey is not as easy as betting on other sports.
Wrestling betting comes with complexities, and analyzing wrestling matches effectively can be challenging. This is why you need online betting sites that understand these complexities and can help with an effective analysis. Suppose you are lucky enough to pick the best sites that analyze wrestling. In that case, there are several factors they will consider to enhance your understanding of elements that influence the result of a match, wrestlers’ motivations, and the narrative. With this, you can make better decisions when analyzing wrestling matches. Below are some ways the best online sites analyze wrestling.
Thorough research
When analyzing wrestling, every reputable online betting site will start by thoroughly researching the wrestlers and their unique styles. This will help the analysts understand those they are dealing with deeply. They will look into the wrestlers’ backgrounds, records, and previous performances.
Their analysis will also cover the wrestlers’ specific moves, weaknesses, and strengths in the match. The details from the research will influence their reports on the probability of particular outcomes and the potential performance of the wrestlers.
Match histories
Online betting sites that analyze wrestling get valuable information from their analysis of the past performances of wrestlers involved in a match. They compare their previous encounters with each other and their outcomes. With this, they can easily recognize trends or patterns that can help them offer more accurate predictions to their customers. These analysts consider factors such as rivalries between wrestlers, stipulations, and the match type.
Match build-Up
Online betting sites that analyze wrestling help gamblers by opening their eyes to the match basics in wrestling, which can help them make reliable suggestions about future outcomes. Analysts consider interviews that occur before the match, promos, and stories.
They understand that wrestlers use these to increase suspense and persuade the audience. They can gain insight into the match’s likely outcome through the wrestlers’ provocation or the plot’s direction.
Analysts examine the match makeup not only to understand the plot’s direction but also to consider the significance of reservations and titles, evaluate battles, and assess the circumstances and instigation. This will help with more accurate betting decisions.
Booking factors
What predetermines the decisions about match results in professional wrestling is the promotion. This is known as booking, and it’s a significant factor that needs to be considered when analyzing wrestling matches.
Online betting sites that analyze wrestling get themselves used to the booking tendencies of the promotion and the team. Besides, the result of the match can be influenced by several factors, including upcoming events, long-term story arcs, and titles. Analysts consider all these factors to support their understanding of likely outcomes.
External factors
The external dynamics of wrestling can have a lot to do with the result of a match. There are several variables you need to consider here. These factors that influence a wrestler’s performance include backstage politics, injuries, and physical circumstances. Analysts get more insights about these external factors through rumors and the latest news about the wrestling industry.
Betting lines
Online betting sites that analyze wrestling can gain insight into the prospects and predictions by monitoring betting lines. Bookmakers offer betting odds. Analysts focus on them and observe how they change before a wrestling match.
Laying lines is not enough for accurate decision-making. Although they are a reflection of bettors’ behavior and collaborative opinions, you can still expect unanticipated outcomes. So, analysts combine their exploration, analysis, and understanding of wrestling with the information on laying lines to make an informed decision.
Analysts monitor betting lines and incorporate them into their analysis. With this, they can offer their customers more accurate insight into market sentiment, recognize likely value bets, and boost their chances of betting success.
Fans at Madison Square Garden got to witness CM Punk’s first WWE match in nearly 10 years last night at the annual WWE Holiday Tour where over 15,000 fans packed The Garden.
The fans certainly let their voices heard with thunderous CM Punk chants and one of the biggest “it’s clobbering time” you could ever hear during his entrance.
Punk wrestled, and defeated, Judgment Day’s Dom Mysterio with his GTS finisher much to the enjoyment of the fans. The match lasted around 14 minutes in total so those who went to the show were not treated to just a quick match.
After the match, Punk grabbed the house mic, and said this was all for the fans, and while he came back a little bit for himself, he credited the fans for carrying him and is doing it for them.
“Ladies and gentlemen I’m here to let you know that this isn’t me finishing my story, that’s just me getting started,” Punk said, noting that he will go on to headline WrestleMania.
For those interested, his whole match against Mysterio can be seen below.

Zayn will be in New York tonight, Boston tomorrow, Montreal on Thursday, Toronto on Friday, and Los Angeles on Saturday with the Raw brand.
In a message on Instagram, Zayn said that it’s been a very crazy and somewhat difficult time for him but he’s very grateful to be in these great cities with fans to end what was a remarkable year for him.
“My career has been so unbelievable, every show is a gift. Thank you all, just know I am very happy to be there with you guys,” Zayn wrote.
Chris Jericho got into a spat with CM Punk’s lawyer Stephen P. New on X after Jericho said he did not sign an NDA for Brawl Out and the lawyer suggested to go check the employee handbook unless he has a special one.
“I don’t adhere to an employee handbook and have NEVER had one in 4 years of working for @aew,” Jericho’s rant on Christmas Day started with.
“I’ve also never signed an NDA in my life ….ever. So stop trying to be a bully and making egotistical fantasy brags for your clients, and start doing some research before you make blanket statements about your buddies,” he continued.
Jericho said he saw everything that night including how Lucy, Ace Steel’s wife who is the only one without an NDA from the incident, acted and what really went down.
“I know exactly what really happened. And considering you weren’t there and I was …maybe you should shut your mark ass up. Because what really went down was disgusting,” Jericho wrote.
The rant might have been exactly what the lawyer was looking for as Jericho played right into it.
“Thank you Chris. We will just attach this Tweet as Exhibit A,” New replied. “Merry Christmas.”
Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks reacted to the news of his wife Dana Massie leaving her position of AEW Chief Marketing & Merchandising Officer in a post on Instagram.
“End of an era. You were in the first conversations, when this was all only an idea. One of the main builders of our empire,” Jackson wrote. “Always positive in at times was a thankless job.”
Jackson noted that he is glad Dana got to do it all and she is leaving on her own terms and by her own choice.
“It’s been fun working with you. See you at dinner,” Jackson added.
It was alluded that AEW tried to hold on to her services by offering her a new contract but she decided to depart the company instead.

CM Punk’s last match in WWE was at the 2014 Royal Rumble. His last singles match was on January 20 where he defeated Billy Gun on an episode of Monday Night Raw. He then had a dark match the following night on Smackdown defeating The Shield in a three-on-one handicap match.
Punk has not wrestled in front of an audience since his August 27 match against Samoa Joe at AEW’s All In pay-per-view in Wembley Stadium.

The stadium is currently set up for 58,910 seats so just over 1,600 seats remain available for sale, most of which are going for some incredibly expensive prices.
The Lincoln Financial Field holds up to 67,000 fans in a football setting but WWE is closing off the part behind the stage, knocking off thousands of seats in the process. There are still tickets believed to be released as the show gets closer.
With rumors running around that Mercedes Mone is asking for an incredible sum of money to return to WWE, the former IWGP Women’s champion posted a cryptic post on X on Christmas Day.
“Happy Happy Holidays,” she wrote, separating each word by a line. “All I want for Christmas is Moné”
The tweet immediately caught the eye of many for the fact that the initials of each line read HHH and obviously she played off the rumors that she’s after a lot of money.
Mone also posted a photo from her Christmas shoot sporting a sexy Santa costume.
Exploring the Earning Power in the World of Professional Wrestling
This comprehensive article delves into the financial world of top professional wrestlers, comparing their earnings with stars from basketball, football, and soccer. It examines various income sources such as match fees, endorsements, and merchandise sales, providing an in-depth look at how these athletes’ financial standings measure up to their counterparts in other major sports.
Introduction:
In the high-energy, glamorous world of sports, professional wrestlers often captivate audiences with their charismatic personas and athletic prowess. Yet, beyond the spectacle and drama of the wrestling ring lies a less explored domain: their financial earnings. This article takes a closer look at how the incomes of top wrestlers compare to stars in other major sports like basketball, football, and soccer. We’ll explore different revenue streams, from match fees to endorsements and merchandise sales, unraveling the complexities of their income. Additionally, we will discuss how tools like paystub generators can be invaluable for wrestlers managing their diverse income sources, ensuring accurate financial documentation.
Section 1: Earnings Overview of Top Wrestlers
Match Fees and Contracts
Professional wrestlers, much like athletes in other sports, have a primary income source from match fees and annual contracts. These contracts can vary greatly, depending on the wrestler’s popularity, tenure, and the wrestling promotion they are associated with. For instance, a wrestler just starting out may earn a modest sum per match, whereas a seasoned wrestler with a strong fan base can command significantly higher fees.
The structure of these contracts often includes base salaries coupled with additional incentives. For example, a wrestler might have a base salary of $100,000 but can earn more through pay-per-view appearances and main event matches. The WWE, one of the leading wrestling promotions, is known for offering lucrative contracts to its top talent, with some of the biggest names in the industry earning millions per year.
Performance Bonuses
Performance bonuses in wrestling are akin to those in other sports, where exceptional performances, particularly in high-profile events like WrestleMania or SummerSlam, can lead to substantial financial rewards. These bonuses are not just limited to victories but can also be tied to merchandise sales, viewership ratings, and social media impact generated by the wrestler’s appearance.
Comparison with Entry-Level and Mid-Career Athletes
Entry-level wrestlers, especially those in smaller promotions, often start with lower earnings, which primarily come from match fees. As they gain experience and popularity, their earning potential increases. This growth trajectory can be compared to athletes in other sports, where rookies typically earn less than seasoned players. Mid-career wrestlers who have established a brand for themselves can see a significant jump in their earnings, both from increased match fees and from more lucrative endorsement deals.
Paystub Generator Tool Tie-In: For wrestlers, especially those navigating the early stages of their career with fluctuating incomes, utilizing a paystub generator can be crucial. It provides a professional and organized way to track different income sources, which is essential for financial planning and tax purposes.
Section 2: Endorsements and Merchandise Sales
Brand Endorsements
Endorsements are a major source of income for top wrestlers, similar to stars in other sports. Wrestlers often sign deals with brands that align with their in-ring persona and fan base. These deals can range from apparel and sports equipment to video games and energy drinks. The value of these endorsements varies widely, depending on the wrestler’s marketability and reach. For instance, a wrestler who is a household name could land deals worth millions, while an up-and-coming star might start with smaller, but still significant, endorsement contracts.
Merchandise Revenue
Merchandise sales are another significant revenue stream for wrestlers. This includes branded apparel, action figures, posters, and other memorabilia. Sales spike around major wrestling events and for wrestlers who are currently in the spotlight. The revenue from merchandise sales is often shared between the wrestler and the promotion, with top wrestlers negotiating a larger share of the profits. Merchandise sales not only contribute directly to a wrestler’s income but also enhance their brand value, leading to more lucrative endorsement deals.
Comparative Analysis with Other Sports
When comparing wrestlers’ earnings from endorsements and merchandise sales to athletes in sports like basketball or soccer, there are noticeable differences. Top athletes in globally popular sports often have higher endorsement deals due to their massive reach. However, wrestlers have a unique advantage in merchandise sales, especially in the form of character-based merchandise, which is less common in other sports. The level of personal brand development in wrestling allows for a more diverse range of merchandise, potentially leading to higher individual revenue.
Paystub Generator Tool Tie-In: Wrestlers, with their varied income streams from endorsements and merchandise sales, can greatly benefit from using a paystub generator. This tool helps in meticulously documenting these diverse earnings, which is crucial for understanding their financial landscape and for tax reporting purposes.
Section 3: Financial Management for Wrestlers
Diverse Income Streams
Professional wrestlers deal with a complex array of income streams. Beyond match fees, their financial picture includes earnings from endorsements, merchandise sales, and sometimes appearances or speaking engagements. This diversity, while beneficial, also brings challenges in terms of financial management. Wrestlers must keep track of various income sources, which may fluctuate significantly from month to month and year to year.
The Role of Paystub Generators
In managing these diverse and variable income sources, paystub generators emerge as a crucial tool for wrestlers. These digital tools enable wrestlers to create accurate, professional paystubs for each income stream, ensuring that all earnings are properly documented. This is particularly important for wrestlers who are self-employed or work as independent contractors, as it aids in tax preparation, loan applications, and financial planning. A reliable paystub generator simplifies the process of tracking and organizing financial data, making it easier for wrestlers to maintain a clear view of their financial health.
Financial Planning and Stability
The nature of a wrestler’s career, with its potential for high but inconsistent earnings, underscores the importance of sound financial planning. Wrestlers need to plan for long-term financial stability, considering factors like the potential for injury and the finite nature of an athletic career. Effective financial management tools, including paystub generators, assist wrestlers in creating a stable foundation. They can plan for retirement, save for periods of lower income, and invest wisely. Having a detailed, organized record of all income streams greatly facilitates these crucial financial planning activities.
Paystub Generator Tool Tie-In: For wrestlers, a paystub generator is more than just a tool for organizing finances; it’s a cornerstone of their financial stability and planning. By providing clear and concise documentation of all income, it assists wrestlers in making informed financial decisions and preparing for the future, ensuring that their financial prowess is as strong as their performance in the ring.
Section 4: Comparative Analysis with Other Sports Stars
Income Comparison with Other Sports
The financial landscape of professional wrestling is unique when placed alongside other major sports like basketball, football, and soccer. In terms of base salaries and match fees, top wrestlers often earn comparable amounts to mid-tier athletes in these sports. However, the highest earners in globally popular sports like football and basketball can outpace even the most successful wrestlers due to larger broadcasting deals and more substantial global followings.
In wrestling, a significant portion of income often comes from merchandise sales and endorsements, areas where wrestlers can sometimes have an edge due to their highly marketable personas and dedicated fan bases. For instance, while a top basketball player might earn more from a shoe deal, a popular wrestler could generate substantial income from a wide range of merchandise.
Factors Influencing Earnings
Several factors influence the earnings of athletes across different sports. These include the sport’s global reach, media rights deals, individual marketability, performance, and the structure of the sport’s revenue-sharing models. Wrestlers often benefit from having a more direct connection with their fan base, which can be monetized through merchandise sales and personal endorsements. However, they might not have access to the same level of earnings from media rights as athletes in more widely-viewed sports.
Market Dynamics and Future Trends
The earning potential in wrestling compared to other sports can be influenced by market dynamics and emerging trends. The growing popularity of streaming services and online content platforms could open new revenue streams for wrestlers, similar to how digital platforms have impacted earnings in other sports. Additionally, the increasing emphasis on personal branding and social media influence in the sports industry benefits wrestlers, who traditionally excel in these areas.
The future could see wrestlers leveraging digital platforms more effectively, leading to increased earnings from personalized content, direct fan engagement, and digital merchandise sales. These shifts may potentially narrow the income gap between wrestling and other major sports, especially as the line between sports entertainment and traditional sports continues to blur.
Paystub Generator Tool Tie-In:
In this evolving financial landscape, tools like paystub generators remain crucial for wrestlers. As their income streams diversify and evolve with market trends, having an organized method to track and manage these changes is indispensable. Paystub generators can adapt to these new income types, ensuring wrestlers stay on top of their financial game.
In conclusion, while wrestlers may not always match the astronomical earnings of the top stars in sports like basketball or soccer, they have unique opportunities and challenges in their financial landscape. Understanding these dynamics and utilizing tools like paystub generators is key to maximizing their financial success and stability.
Conclusion: Wrestling in the Financial Arena
The world of professional wrestling, vibrant and full of larger-than-life characters, offers a fascinating glimpse into a unique financial ecosystem within the broader sports industry. While wrestlers may not always command the same headline-grabbing salaries as top-tier athletes in globally dominant sports, their earnings from a blend of match fees, endorsements, and merchandise sales represent a robust and diverse revenue model.
This analysis reveals that the financial success of wrestlers is not just about the purses won in the ring, but also about how effectively they can leverage their personas and fan base. The ability to connect with fans through merchandise, coupled with strategic brand endorsements, empowers wrestlers to build a substantial financial portfolio.
However, the fluctuating nature of these income streams highlights the importance of proficient financial management. Tools like paystub generators emerge as invaluable assets for wrestlers, simplifying the complex task of tracking and organizing varied sources of income. These tools are not just for convenience; they are critical for ensuring long-term financial stability and security, especially in a career as unpredictable as professional wrestling.
Looking forward, the wrestling industry, much like other sports, is poised to evolve with changing market dynamics and technological advancements. Wrestlers who adeptly navigate these changes, while maintaining a keen eye on their financial management, will continue to thrive both in the ring and in their bank accounts.
In conclusion, the financial ring of professional wrestling is as dynamic and compelling as the physical one. By understanding and effectively managing their unique income streams, wrestlers can ensure that their financial might is as formidable as their athletic prowess, securing not just victories in the ring, but also in their financial endeavors.
