The Associated Press is reporting that the Senate is voting today to confirm – or block – Linda McMahon as Secretary of Education.
McMahon underwent a grilling on February 13 and she is one of the last appointees that need the confirmation. Her hearing was attended by WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque, his wife Stephanie McMahon, and her brother Shane McMahon along with his wife Marissa.
Trump has tasked McMahon with closing the Department of Education, effectively putting her out of a job. McMahon has vowed to make the Department more efficient and not to defund programs.
The vote is set to take place around 5:30PM ET.
If confirmed, it would be the second time that McMahon serves on President Trump’s cabinet. She was Administrator of the Small Business Administration during his first term.
PWInsider.com is reporting that Rey Fenix has received his release from AEW and is now a free agent.
His name was removed from the AEW website as well, consistent with other recent departures.
The situation between AEW and Fenix took a turn for the worse when his contract was extended due to his time injured even though he made it clear that he was not staying with the company. His brother, Penta, also hit free agency and made his WWE debut in January.
The two were expected to leave together and join WWE together until his contract was extended. He was not used on AEW television since July 2024.
Throughout the past couple of months, Fenix made it very obvious he wanted to leave and used social media to vent his frustration, accusing AEW of different things, although he later deleted the posts.
With his free agency now confirmed, Penta is expected to show up on WWE television soon.
After ripping on the Canadian fans for booing the U.S. national anthem at the Rogers Centre on Saturday before Elimination Chamber, Raw color commentator Pat McAfee apologized for his comments.
McAfee made his feelings known during the show, criticizing the audience for what they did and calling Canada “terrible.”
On today’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show, the former NFL star tried to calm things and get back on their good side. McAfee said that he respects the passion of the fans that have for their country and he hoped they understand he was doing just the same for his country.
McAfee said he was asked to “investigate” why Canadians booed the national anthem and said he understood that there are political differences at the moment.
“I feel like anytime I think of Canada, I don’t think of what Justin Trudeau does,” McAfee said. “I don’t think immediately of Justin Trudeau’s decisions. I don’t think immediately of what Canada is doing in the political sphere. I think of the people of Canada.”
McAfee then said that he’s ready to shake hands and move along.
“And I still love Canadians, okay? We got one in the building,” McAfee continued. “I’m sorry. So, let’s go shake their hands. Canada. Boom. I hope we get settled.”
I’m very proud and thankful that I’m from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the United States of America..
Canadians have a lot of passion for their country and I understand it..
You booed our country and I said you’re terrible..

A 10,000 attendance is definitely not out of the question if tickets continue to sell at this rate.
The cheapest tickets available on AXS are $39 plus fees in the top section of the arena while the most expensive are $754 plus fees for ringside.

WWE announced that the 2025 Elimination Chamber had a total attendance of 38,493 at the Rogers Centre.
The last WWE event at the stadium, back then known as the SkyDome, was WrestleMania X8 and it had an attendance of 68,237.
Despite packing in 30,000 less people, Elimination Chamber last night became the highest-grossing WWE event ever in Canada thanks to the high ticket prices. WWE sold in excess of 8,000 tickets in the last few days before the show after The Rock was announced that he would be appearing.
Fans from 43 U.S. states and 37 different countries attended the event.
In other related Elimination Chamber news, Canadian hip hop artist Drake was ringside at the show but was never acknowledged on camera. Aubrey Drake Graham, Lil Yachty, NAV, Andrew Phung, Robbie Amell, and Italia Ricci were also at the show.
Ric Flair said that he will fight his way through security to hit the ring preventing John Cena from getting his 17th world title and breaking his record.
Flair noted that according to WWE, it’s been 25 years since he last won his 16th world title, mentioning a list of some of his greatest opponents including Harley Race, Bruiser Brody, Terry Funk, Dusty Rhodes, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, and Ricky Steamboat.
“@JohnCena, I love you and respect you, but you ain’t taking nothing from @CodyRhodes,” Flair wrote in a post on X. “If I have to fight my way through security to hit the ring, I will. I’ll take the day off of blood thinners. LFG! Let’s do this!”
Flair attached a photo pointing at John Cena while holding the WWE championship.
In a recent interview, Flair said he would love if his daughter Charlotte breaks his record of 16 world titles, but wouldn’t mind if it was Cena or Randy Orton either.
Revolution had two matches added to its card last night at Collision and one match with a stipulation added to it.
The Toni Storm vs Mariah May match for the AEW Women’s title is now a Hollywood Ending with no DQ, no count-outs, and falls count anywhere in the building. Storm appeared via video, in a neckbrace in bed, accepting May’s challenge as long as she agrees to the stipulations. This will be the third, and final, match between the two and the series is tied at 1-1.
The AEW Tag Team titles will be on the line as well with The Hurt Syndicate defending against The Outrunners. The Outrunners called out MVP for the promise he made last week that if they beat Murder Machines, they’d get a title shot.
And Big Boom AJ of The Costco Guys will get a second match in an AEW ring during the Zero Hour portion of the show. AJ will team up with Orange Cassidy and Mark Briscoe to take on Johnny TV and MxM Collection in a trios match.
Answering questions about Travis Scott’s involvement in the main event angle and if that means that Scott could be a partner of The Final Boss and John Cena in the ring in the months to come, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson simply answered, yes.
Johnson said Scott loves the business and loves professional wrestling and he’s a culture guy, one of the greatest of all time.
He said that they want to collaborate with the best artists and some want to get involved, while some deeply want to get involved, like Scott. He said that tonight was the perfect night to start this alliance between The Rock and Travis Scott.
“He wanted to get his hands bloodied,” said a smiling Johnson. “And I whispered to him as he was going out, ‘If you want to get your hands bloodied, make it count, make it count’…and he slapped the shit out of Cody. He slapped the shit outta Cody!”
He added that Scott was really hyped up and when he landed in Toronto yesterday they had some words and talked about how the night was going to go down.
“I got contact high for about three hours, it’s crazy and I loved it,” The Rock said. “I need Travis whenever I do an appearance. Like Travis’ smoke with Teramana…it’s game over!”
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque described the ending of the Elimination Chamber as one of the most powerful moments in the entirety of John Cena’s career.
Triple H said that no one really saw this coming and praised Cena for agreeing to pull the trigger on a heel turn which he never wanted to do during his time with WWE.
“It puts you in a place where it’s now or never. And you can ride that out and you can rest on the things that you have done or somebody like him can double down and say screw it, I want to be challenged right to the last moment, I want to go out on my shield,” Triple H told the press.
The Rock also participated in the post-show press conference and said that they’re all long-gaming this. He mentioned that he got criticism when he showed up at Bad Blood at the end and he did the hand signs and walked off but it all ties to the long storylines that they have in mind.
“I knew this day was coming,” The Rock said.
Talking about Cena turning heel, Rock called it “an amazing moment” and the performers live for moments like that.
“No one knew really what was going to happen. Maybe a few called it. But for the most part, I thought the moment was incredible and I personally love that,” The Final Boss continued.
“What I felt tonight, and I’ve been a part of some really phenomenal professional wrestling angles and as a kid growing up I’ve seen, we all have, some amazing pro wrestling angles,” The Rock said. “I felt like tonight stood beside all of those that were the iconic angles.”
Cena also appeared at the press conference, but in total heel mode, sat down, grabbed the mic, dropped it, and left without uttering a word. The Rock later revealed that Cena flew in from Budapest hours before the show and left to Africa immediately following the press conference to continue his filming commitments.
Randy Orton returned at the Elimination Chamber last night after a few months out and came back to target the man who put him out of the picture, Kevin Owens.
After Owens defeated Sami Zayn and looked like he was going to keep on his attack even after the match, Orton’s theme song started and out came The Viper.
Orton immediately went for Owens, hitting him win an RKO but officials stopped him from doing the punt, giving Owens enough time to exit.
The multi-time champion was written off television in November of last year by Owens thanks to a piledriver. The two are on a collision course for WrestleMania 41.
Bianca Belair won her second Elimination Chamber match last night, a first for women, after just three appearances.
Belair took out Liv Morgan with the KOD to end the very entertaining match with the order of eliminations being Naomi, Bayley, Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, and then Morgan. Naomi actually did not really throw a punch in the match as she was attacked by the returning Jade Cargill at the start of the match and was deemed unable to continue.
After the match, WWE Women’s World champion Rhea Ripley came out to stand face-to-face with Belair at the top of the stage but Ripley’s challenger for tomorrow, Iyo Sky, also came out to make it a three-way. Belair will face the winner of Ripley vs Sky live on Netflix tomorrow night.
Jade Cargill returned at the Elimination Chamber and took out Naomi, who seemingly was the one who attacked Cargill late last year on Smackdown.
Just before the women’s Elimination Chamber match kicked off with Liv Morgan and Naomi, Cargill’s theme song kicked in to a big pop from the crowd. Cargill marched down the long aisle as cameras focused on a shocked Liv Morgan who looked like she saw a ghost.
Morgan pleaded her case saying it wasn’t her as Cargill came down to the ring and before she entered, Cargill said, “I know it wasn’t you.”
With Cargill in the ring, she faked going after Liv until pivoting and went straight after Naomi. The crowd chanted “holy shit” as Cargill decimated the former one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team champions. Cargill slammed Naomi in several pods, with Bianca Belair screaming in her own pod not believing what was happening.
Referees tried to break up the fight but fans chanted “let them fight.” Naomi wanted to escape the Chamber structure but Cargill broke free of the refs and slammed the rolling door in Naomi, who had half her body outside the cage.
The Toronto crowd sang “goodbye” to Naomi as Cargill left to a big ovation and looking like a killer.
Naomi was subsequently eliminated from the match as she was unable to continue, doing the stretcher job.
John Cena won the Elimination Chamber and did what many thought he would never, ever do: turn heel.
In a stunning turn of events, after Cena took out CM Punk last to win the Chamber, WWE champion Cody Rhodes came out to congratulate Cena and meet his WrestleMania 41 opponent. The happy ending did not last long though as The Rock came out, flanked by Travis Scott.
The Rock told Rhodes that he wants it all and if he says yes, The American Nightmare will live forever, but if he says no, the dream will die…again.
Rhodes said that he can’t give him his soul because he gave his soul to the ring and to the people a long time ago and he had one thing to say to The Rock: “Go f*ck yourself.”
The crowd went nuts and so did Cena on the side. Cena then embraced Cody, with The Rock in the background and the camera caught Cena’s face changing which was the first hint. The Rock then did the cut-throat hand signal and Cena kicked Cody in the nuts as everyone inside the Rogers Centre lost it.
Travis Scott, smoking weed throughout the whole segment, helped The Rock and Cena beat up Cody Rhodes, who was left bloodied in the ring.
It’s the first time in Cena’s WWE career that he has turned heel.
Here are the results from last night’s Elimination Chamber 2025 premium live event which took place from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
Bianca Belair defeated Naomi, Bayley, Roxanne Perez, Alexa Bliss, and Liv Morgan in an Elimination Chamber match to earn a WWE Women’s World title shot at WrestleMania; Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus defeated Nia Jax and Candice LeRae; Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn in an unsanctioned match; John Cena defeated Drew McIntyre, Damian Priest, Logan Paul, Seth Rollins, and CM Punk in an Elimination Chamber match to earn a WWE title shot at WrestleMania.
Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA here with another Pick’em report – we are only weeks away from WrestleMania!! Tonight is the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania – the Elimination Chamber, LIVE from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Tonight, Colin and I will step into the Chamber and only one of us will earn the right to defend the WOPC Championship at WrestleMania. Who will hold the gold after tonight? Let’s find out RIGHT NOW.
ON WITH THE PICKS!!
Women’s Elimination Chamber Match – Winner Faces Women’s World Champion at WrestleMania XLI Liv Morgan vs. Bianca Belair vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Bayley vs. Naomi vs. Roxanne Perez
Magnum: I’m actually going to tie in the “Jade Cargill” situation with this match – I think whoever wins this match is going to be revealed as the person who took out Jade…and as I’m reviewing all the names in this match, there’s only one person who fits the checkmarks of belonging in the Mania Main Event, plus they’d also be the most likely suspect – Bianca Belair. This leads to a heel Bianca going up against Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania – book it!!
Colin: Bianca Belair makes the most sense here as a WrestleMania match against Rhea Ripley would rock. I don’t think Bianca is the person behind Jade’s attack as she was wrestling a match when Bianca was taken out…I still think it was Naomi! She had all the motifs, no? Anyway, Bianca wins.
Tag Team Match Tiffany Stratton and Trish Stratus vs. Nia Jax and Candice LeRae
Magnum: Can’t wait to see Trish – she’s just the greatest ever. What a chance for Tiffy to shine alongside the very best. This strikes me as an exhibition, of sorts, just because I don’t see Nia and Candace getting out of this one with a victory. Give me the Minnesotan and the Canadian to take it down, eh don’tchaknow…?! Stratton and Stratus get the victory.
Colin: Tiffy and Trish are like dream tag team partners. They’re good in the ring, they look good, and both are super over with the fans. This match was simply to get Trish on the card and I don’t think Trish is going to lose in her hometown. I’m ready for Trishy and Tiffy time.
Unsanctioned “Lights Out” Match Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens
Magnum: Man, these guys could go out there for another Mania match and I’d be ready Freddie for that one. These guys might be my favorite “fight forever” duo…wait, they were the original, weren’t they. Anyways, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one ends the same way it ended after their first bout in NXT – Sami gets the win, but KO puts him in an Ambulance.
Colin: I was expecting this match to happen at WrestleMania, but you know, with both of them Canadians, it made sense somewhat to put them on here. With Kevin Owens expected in a feud with a returning Randy Orton heading into WrestleMania, I’m expecting a KO win and an appearance by The Viper. How they’re going to get there? I have no clue. Don’t look at me, I’m not the booker!
Men’s Elimination Chamber Match – Winner faces WWE Champion at WrestleMania XLI John Cena vs. CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
Magnum: I keep telling myself that John Cena’s retirement tour is going to start by having him put over a couple of guys along the way. At the Rumble, even though I picked him to win, I still felt like the smart move would have been to make a new star out of this match…which is exactly what ended up happening. For the Chamber? I think that will continue…but the question becomes, who does John want to put over? Punk, Rollins, and Paul don’t need the rub…and I don’t think Priest is going to win, so that leaves Drew McIntyre. I think if Drew walked out of that match with a win over Cena, it would be a pretty awesome mantle piece. Screw it, let’s go with a long shot…Drew does it two years in a row and wins the Elimination Chamber.
Colin: I think this all hangs on what The Rock is going to do. This whole Corporate Champion thing has to culminate in a match, right? I wouldn’t mind Rock vs Cody to be honest, but then what happens to the winner of this match? While I want Cena to break the record with #17, it’s not going to happen at WrestleMania I think. Cody vs Punk for me is the biggest match they can do if Rock is out of question, so sign me up for a CM Punk win.
Alright everyone, that’s going to do it for the Pick’em report. We will see you next time for WrestleMania XLI! From all of us here at Wrestling-Online and the Pick’em report, take care and we’ll see you in April! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
John Cena is returning to the city where he announced his retirement tour last year but this time, it will be inside the Elimination Chamber steel structure.
It will be Cena’s seventh time inside the Chamber throughout his WWE career, third in the list behind Randy Orton with nine and Chris Jericho with eight. The leader of the Cenation has won the match three times in the past, joint-second with Daniel Bryan and trailing Triple H who has four victories.
Cena was victorious in 2006, defeating Carlito, Chris Masters, Kane, Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels, in 2010, defeating Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, and Triple H, and in 2011, defeating CM Punk, John Morrison, Randy Orton, R-Truth, and Sheamus.
“Tonight, I walk into the my final #WWEChamber match to secure my final #WrestleMania main event,” Cena wrote on X. “Toronto is the place where I announced I would retire, and tonight is gonna be an event you can’t miss.”
This is Cena’s second involvement in a match in 2025 following his participation at the Royal Rumble where he was the runner-up.
