AEW Continental and International titles to remain past All In

AEW logo

In a conference call with reporters yesterday ahead of All In, AEW President Tony Khan clarified that the Continental and International titles are not being retired at all and the new AEW Unified champion may have to carry all three titles with him!

Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada will renew their rivalry this Saturday, with the winner crowned the new AEW Unified champion.

But while it was thought that the two titles that they carry respectively were going away, Khan said they’re not, with the lineage of both titles remaining intact.

AEW already had the Triple Crown championship which involved three titles at the time – the AEW Continental, the ROH, and NJPW Strong championships. The idea did not last long and the champion at the time, Eddie Kingston, eventually lost the three titles in three different matches.

Okada has been Continental champion for 476 days as of today while Omega has been the International champion for 122 days so far.

Lilian Garcia to do ring announcing for Evolution

Evolution 2025

A familiar face is returning to do ring announcing for the Evolution premium live event this weekend: Lilian Garcia.

Garcia announced the news herself in a post on Instagram.

“THIS IS IT!!! @WWE EVOLUTION happening this Sunday!!! I was fortunate enough to be the announcer the 1st ever Evolution so now to be able to announce the 2nd one as well and continue to celebrate the progression of where this industry has evolved to along side these incredible women is such an honor,” she wrote.

It looks like she will be pulling double duty this weekend as Garcia is also the ring announcer for Saturday Night’s Main Event, a job she was given after her full-time contract as a TV announcer for WWE was terminated last year.

TNA seeking new media rights partner for 52 weeks of live television

Speaking to JohnWallStreet.com, TNA President Carlos Silva said that the company is seeking a new media rights partner which would enable them to go live 52 weeks a year.

Silva added that the recent strategic partnership with WWE’s NXT has resulted in a “huge audience lift” for the company, thanks to being featured on NXT on CW, NXT premium live events, and social media support from WWE.

“A new media rights deal will help us build a more consistent fan base with larger reach,” Silva continued. “It will also provide us the opportunity to go live 52 weeks a year, and in today’s world, live matters”

Currently, TNA airs on AXS TV which is owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment, the same parent company of TNA. Silva said that they’re looking for around $10 million a year in rights fees and they’re confident that a new TV outlet will be selected within the next 60 days.

ROH Women’s TV champion Red Velvet out injured

ROH Women’s TV champion Red Velvet is injured and will be unable to compete at this Friday’s Supercard of Honor.

The news was announced by AEW President Tony Khan yesterday in a media call with the wrestling press ahead of All In weekend.

Khan said that an interim Women’s TV champion will be crowned soon in Velvet’s absence.

“Not the news I wanted to share. I won’t be cleared to compete at Supercard of Honor due to injury,” Velvet later wrote on social media. “Don’t get it twisted this is just a pause, not the end. To the new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champ congrats in advance. Hold it down, because when I come back? I’m coming for it ALL.”

It’s unclear what kind of injury Velvet is suffering from. Her last match came for CMLL on June 20.

AEW takes over Globe Life Field as construction starts for All In: Texas

All In: Texas

AEW has officially taken over the Globe Life Field in Arlington as construction has started for All In: Texas.

The roof will be closed for the show, keeping wrestlers and fans protected from the Texas heat since this will be an early afternoon show.

Resale tickets are being sold from as cheap as $31 while standard tickets from Ticketmaster start from $38.60.

Steve Blackman sits down with Chris Van Vliet for rare interview

Steve Blackman sat down with Chris Van Vliet in Harrisburg, PA to discuss being known as one of the toughest wrestlers in the locker room, becoming seriously ill and coming very close to dying before he signed with WWE, his match with Shane McMahon at SummerSlam 2000 and McMahon’s fall, showing his comedic side with Al Snow as part of Head Cheese, the real story behind his fight with JBL at an airport in St. Louis, being a part of the infamous Brawl For All tournament, what he is doing now, whether a WWE return could be possible and more!

On the SummerSlam 2000 match with Shane McMahon:

“That was pretty much the plan. I don’t remember much being discussed differently than what we did. Most people don’t realize, it was rare that I’d go out there and talk about the match and stuff in the ring before we go out and do an appearance. I didn’t really walk through much with people. That was a rare one when we went out there to go up to the TitanTron, we actually climbed up and that’s high. And the worst thing was, there was nothing on the floor from the TitanTron until you’re seven feet, eight feet away. Then there was a mat the size of a bed way out here. And I’m like, ‘He’s going to land on that backwards from up there? What if he falls straight down?’ This one guy, he’s one of the stunt coordinators, goes, ‘If he just steps back and falls this way, he’ll land out there.’ I’m like, You’re kidding me, right? I said, well that’s insane to me. So they said, ‘Okay, we’ll do it.’ He didn’t drop, but he said, Okay, he’ll do that. And I said, All right.

So we get up there the next day, I hit him with my stick, and he drops. Well, I’m supposed to drop an elbow on him, and I’m like, I have two feet to land there. How am I going to drop an elbow on this guy from 50 or 60 feet, whatever we were. I shimmy down, I might have still been 25 feet up. So I shimmy down halfway and jump from there and landed. But what happened is, overnight, somebody encased the mat with three-quarter-inch plywood around it. So if you have a limb sticking out, it’s just going to snap off. So I had to land right there, drop an elbow on him and try not to completely pancake him. So I landed there, hit him with the elbow and pulled it off. But during the match, our runners would grab props anywhere, and sometimes they were real street signs. I’d be like, ‘Guys, where are you grabbing this stuff? This is a real street sign.’ [They said] ‘Well, don’t ask Steve.’ So he gets out there, he hit me with a street sign one time. If you watch that match, it felt like it ripped the nose off my face. That metal thing just went peeling right down my face. I thought, Holy hell. Then Test and Albert interfered, you know, we had a good match. Everybody was getting beat on in that one.”

On who pitched the Shane fall:

“Well, it had to be him. I don’t think it was his dad. It had to be Shane. And never forget we were out there going over it and talking about it. I’m like, I’ll crack him, crack him, crack him. But the worst part was that I was so sweaty from the match for 15 minutes, trying to hold on to those bars. I was just drenched in sweat. I kept worrying about slipping and dropping, so that’s why I stopped where I did, held the bar and then cracked him because I just kept sweating so bad. We were out there, I’ll never forget, Vince is like, ‘You need to get that stick out of the way. If you crack him and your stick’s here, and he drops, he’s going to [fall differently].’ I said, You know what, you’re right. So it’s good you thought of that. I had to crack him and make sure I got the stick out of the way so he didn’t land on it and flip or something like that. It hits me, because you think of crazy little things like that that you wouldn’t most of the time.”

On being in pain throughout his WWE career:

“Yes. I think it would be like Monday I’d wrestle and get a migraine, and I don’t mean a little headache where, oh, I have a headache. No, I mean feels like you’re being stabbed in your head. Throw up, lay down, throw up, lay down, go to bed. The next day, sleep all day, wrestle the next day, the migraine again, go through that next day resting. So it’d be like every other day I’d have a migraine. I’m not being funny, but you can’t imagine what it’s like getting forearmed or body slammed when you have a migraine, you feel like a grenade went off in your head. I wrestled Kane one night in a hardcore match. I landed on the back of my head on the floor. My foot got caught. I jumped off the rail, kicked him, my shoe hit him on the chest, and I landed on my back. The migraine kicked in in one second, just shot up through my spine. Every time he hit me, I felt like a grenade was going off, and that was the beginning of the match. We had 15 minutes more to go, and I’m like, Oh my God. I’m just fighting through it, fighting through it. I’d sit out in the hall and just squeeze my head. And then a night in a hotel, I’d literally lie on my side. Sometimes I’d have a baseball in my bag. I’d put a baseball under my back, try to lay on it. I’d find a spot where I could pinch off the nerve going to my head. So finally, after about an hour, I could fall asleep, and then sleep the whole night and the next day I would just be tired from the pain, but I’d wrestle again, and that’s what I went through for years.”

“I’m going to say, 80% of my run. It was brutal. I’m like, Man, if I had that stuff done before I went back, it wouldn’t have got much worse in there. But if I’d had that done and then gone back, I just could’ve done a lot more. There were nights where I wanted to do more crazy stuff, and I just couldn’t. My head hurt too bad. So I just do what I could to get by. But the hardcore stuff worked out great for me, because I could just showcase weapons and speed and things like that. It sounds funny, but I was getting cracked as much as them, but it was still easier on my neck.”

On Head Cheese:

“I don’t know how that came about, but it got over. The vignettes were comical. People popped like crazy on them. It’s funny because it got over great for three months, here’s another one, we were going to get the tag belts at that time. And one of the guys in the office said something to, I don’t know if it was Vince or whoever was pulling the shots that night, it’s usually Vince, said, ‘I don’t think we should give him the belts yet.’ And they just squashed it and squashed our gimmick. I don’t want to say who it was, that’s not me, but I’m like, Really, dude? I didn’t find out till a year later. But I’m thinking that’s brutal. So he goes up there and uses some clout to put a stop to it.”

On whether he realized it would be that popular:

“I did not. It did. It got a heck of a pop. That place popped. Al was a comical guy, so the stuff that he would have me do and stuff, it was entertaining. I’d get to the arena and they’d be like, ‘Steve, you’re going to milk a cow tonight.’ I said, ‘Yeah, sure, I am.’ I’d walk to the locker room, then I’m on the farm milking a cow. The next week of TV, they’re like, ‘Steve, you’re doing a comedy skit at a retirement home.’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, sure, I am.’ And yeah, that woman’s yelling that unscripted ‘Blackman, you suck!’ You remember that? I just remember her yelling that at me. So it was funny, it was going well, and then someone stepped in and squashed it after a few months.”

Charlotte Flair credits Ronda Rousey for catapulting WWE women into the main event

Charlotte Flair credited Ronda Rousey for putting the WWE women in the main event, writing that Ronda does not get enough credit what she did for them during her time there.

Flair wrote this as part of a very long, thoughtful editorial on ThePlayersTribune.com which was published today titled “How am I going to be Charlotte Flair today?”

The 14-time women’s champion said that the U.S. women’s soccer team being a draw and Serena Williams being a draw helped them a lot, but no one did more for them than Ronda Rousey, the former UFC champion.

“But in terms of WWE looking at women as potentially WrestleMania level main-eventers, you can trust me on this 100%: There’s before Ronda Rousey…and then there’s after,” Flair wrote. “And I wish people would talk about that more, and give Ronda her due.”

Flair, along with Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, main evented WrestleMania 35, becoming the first women to main event a WrestleMania in WWE history. That only happened once more since then, two years later when Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair main evented WrestleMania 37 Saturday.

Rousey’s second stint with WWE ended in 2023 and it was far less impactful than her first one. Rousey eventually spoke up against Vince McMahon and the backstage chaos at WWE while she was there.

Powerbombs and payouts: why wrestling slots are a player favorite

Get in the ring and turn the reels—wrestling-themed online slots combine the intense action and drama of pro wrestling with the potential for payouts. It’s a slam dunk for wrestling enthusiasts who love action, drama and the ultimate battle.

For decades, professional wrestling has entertained with its over-the-top personalities, memorable grudges and heart-pounding matches. And now, the online slots industry is borrowing that same adrenaline fix by offering wrestling-themed slots that fuse legendary grapplers with explosive animation and massive bonus rounds. If you’re a lifelong wrestling fan or you just can’t get enough sizzling-paced slots and theatrics, they capture the ring’s action like you’ve never experienced it before. This is how game makers recreate the drama of the squared circle in online casino games and why the slots remain so popular.

Bringing Legends to the Reels

Wrestling slots typically place legendary wrestlers in the foreground so that each spin feels like confronting your favorite star. Some officially licensed slots come with actual wrestling personalities and their signature moves and catchphrases. Still, others use larger-than-life personalities based upon wrestling archetypes: the masked luchador, the showman, or the unstoppable heel.

By featuring these legendary names, game makers immediately identify with wrestling enthusiasts who have grown up rooting for their favorites. It all culminates in a retro, energetic gaming session where each turn feels like getting in the ring with a legend. This makes wrestling slots attractive and they have created their niche in online casino play. For instance, sites like betway mz apk allow you to play and download wrestling-themed slots in seconds, turning each turn into a main event.

Spins That Feel Like a Main Event

While traditional slots offer monotonous gameplay, wrestling-themed slots offer action-packed bonus rounds. Envision rounds where players choose what moves they would like to apply to opponents, multipliers granted when players win matches, or free spins awarded when they win signature slams.

These dynamic features mirror the back-and-forth excitement of a wrestling match, keeping players engaged with unpredictable twists and significant payoffs. Wild symbols might transform into power moves, scatter symbols could spark intense brawls and expanding reels can recreate the epic of a championship match — all designed to make each session feel like a headline event.

Establishing a Realistic Wrestling Atmosphere

It’s atmosphere in wrestling and the best wrestling-themed slots bring it to life through energetic entry music, crowd chants and Hollywood-style animations. Just as the crowd goes wild when it hears any wrestler’s theme track, the effects in such slots work similarly in building excitement and anticipation with each spin.

Several games include flashing lights, fireworks and 3D wrestling rings which build layers of spectacle. If you hit a bonus or jackpot, the game can erupt in pyro or show your character putting the championship belt in the air in victory, turning what would be otherwise a boring payout into something spectacular enough for WrestleMania.

Bonus Rounds That Mirror the Drama of the Ring

Not many things in wrestling are as exhilarating as a victory comeback or an unexpected storyline twist — and wrestling slots do the same thing through bonus rounds. They frequently take the form of wrestling matches in which players select moves, avoid moves, or accrue power meters to win larger rewards.

In certain games, you will engage in “battle bonus” rounds with opposing wrestlers, breaking through ever-increasing rewards as you go through rounds. This interactivity provides greater player control than slots offer, turning a basic spin into a grand narrative with growing stakes and the possibility of a tremendous reward.

Why Wrestling Fans Love the Thrill of Themed Slots

Wrestling fans are drawn to larger-than-life moments, dramatic victories and emotional highs—the qualities wrestling slots deliver with every spin. These games provide a rush similar to watching a championship match, with surprise wins, near misses, and heart-pounding finishes. You could also consider a tag team approach to your slot game, bringing a friend to enhance the experience and make it extra exciting.

Wrestling slots offer an experience tailored to the community’s love for spectacle and showmanship. The opportunity to step into the boots of a favorite wrestler or recreate the drama of a title match taps into deep nostalgia and passion. Even casual players who enjoy wrestling’s campy fun and theatrical style find these slots irresistible, thanks to their humor, bold visuals and unpredictable gameplay.

From iconic characters and pulse-pounding features to dramatic bonus rounds and authentic wrestling ambiance, wrestling-themed slots bring all the excitement of the ring directly to your device. These games combine two worlds that thrive on spectacle and surprise, giving players a unique way to relive the magic of wrestling while chasing payouts. With technological advancements and continued innovation from developers, the future will bring yet deeper immersive wrestling action in online casinos. Suppose you are the ultimate fan of traditional wrestling or simply seeking out some slot action that can get the punches. In that case, wrestling slots show that the squared circle and whirling reels are a pairing in entertainment heaven.

Alexa Bliss details her last-minute return at the Rumble on The Nikki & Brie Show

Alexa Bliss was on The Nikki & Brie Show and discussed her last-minute decision to compete in women’s Royal Rumble match in January of this year and reveals the subtle way she pays tribute to Bray Wyatt. She also opens up about her motherhood journey, trusting babysitters and more.

Alexa Bliss details last-minute WWE return (11:00-12:43)

Brie Garcia: So, it was short notice that you were there. When did you get the call?

Alexa Bliss: I got the call at like midnight the night before.

Brie Garcia: Wait, midnight?

Alexa Bliss: Yeah, midnight the night before.

Brie Garcia: Oh my gosh.

Alexa Bliss: Yeah, so I got the call at midnight the night before and it wasn’t fully decided until like 4 a.m. and I get a call at 5. They’re like, “All right, we need you on a plane by 10 a.m.” I flew to, cause it wasn’t in Indianapolis so no one would see me, flew to Cincinnati, got drove in, had to cover up, got snuck into a back room. There was hair and makeup. I didn’t get there till 4. You guys know how this stuff works, right? I didn’t get there till 4. We were first match starting at 6, so I got there at 4. I have someone in there that’s like ready to do my hair. I haven’t slept because this was an all-night process of figuring out and I hadn’t slept. I hadn’t eaten. I was deliriously tired. I’m in my house at 3 a.m. with a phone light, so I’m trying not to wake up the baby because my gear is in like next to her closet and I’m like looking through old gear being like, all right, “What could still fit me?” And I told Ryan, I was like, at 4 a.m., I go, “Hey, I think I’m going to Rumble,” and he was like, “Huh?” and I go, “Do you want to come?” and he’s like, “I’m so tired. What?” And I go, “Nevermind,” and I just get on a plane, go and you know, just kind of, no one knew I was there. Not even, you know, the girls didn’t know I was there until I was in Gorilla. No one knew I was there.

Alexa Bliss reveals the subtle way she honors Bray Wyatt (19:00-19:35)

Alexa Bliss: I actually have a piece of his gear on my skirt. My skirt has a patch of his gear, and then we all have, I’ll grab it one second. We all have these bracelets with his gear on it, and so this is the gear that’s also on my skirt and, you know, it’s how do we, you know, respect Windham’s vision and keep his, you know, memory alive without, you know, making it a tribute, making it more of like, “This is Alexa now and this is part of her past that’s always gonna be with her.”

Alexa Bliss shares her thoughts on motherhood (23:40-25:15)

Alexa Bliss: It is the best. I wasn’t that person that, I think Nikki and I talked about this a long time ago once in the locker room. I wasn’t like one that was like, “Oh my god, I want kids.” Hendrix was very much a surprise and I was so worried. I was like, “What if my motherly instincts don’t kick in?” because I was always just like, I’m so selfish with my time. I’m so career driven. What if like I’m not good at this, and so as soon as I had Hendrix, besides the postpartum anxiety, it just clicks in and it’s crazy and it’s the best thing. It’s the best. I love it. I love it so much. I was like, “Why didn’t I do this sooner?” and this is so just I love that I can go to Smackdown and I love that I can portray a character, but I love even more that I can come home and just be a mom and just watch my daughter who has an opinion now. You know, watch her grow, watch her learn, watch her, you know, just thrive. She wakes up every morning like it’s Christmas. She’s so happy. She hardly, well, I know it didn’t sound like it earlier, but she actually hardly ever cries. That’s why I was like, “What is going on with her?” She hardly cries. She’s so happy. She’s just always dancing and, you know, just learning every day and it’s the best and I mean, you guys know. Watching your kids just grow up, it’s just the best thing ever, but it goes so fast.

Alexa Bliss opens up about struggling to trust babysitters (28:32-29:49)

Alexa Bliss: You don’t understand it. You don’t get it. People are like, “Oh, once you become a mom, it’s so different. It’s so hard, you know, you can’t just go out and do things,” and you’re like, “Just get a sitter,” and I’m like, “No.” You just can’t go out and do things and you know, as much as I would love to just get a sitter, I’m that person. I’m like, “Well, why would I get a sitter when I can just watch my kid?” I’m like, “I can just hang out with her,” and then you get so protective, and I just like, I’m like, “I don’t trust everybody.” I don’t trust anybody. You know what I mean, so like our parents watch her, you know, and then we have one babysitter that will watch her in LA, but that was a whole process of, you know, meeting her a few times and having her interact with Hendrix a little bit, and then our first trip was literally down the street and then back and just, you know, I’m that crazy mother. I’ll admit it.

Nikki Garcia: I have now three girls that I trust and Brie’s the same. I’m just so protective and it takes a lot to trust someone with your child for sure and it’s like, I’ll say no to things just because I’m like, “No, if there’s not the right person watching him, I’m just not gonna do it. He’s staying with me. He’s right here.”

The Nikki & Brie Show hosted by Nikki & Brie Garcia is available anytime on the SiriusXM app. New episodes every Monday and Thursday.

Titled Movers, the show is an “improvised workplace comedy revolving around the erratic and codependent lives of a crew of movers.”

It comes from creators and executive producers Robert Ben Garant and Cathy Shim.

Garant and Shim will also be part of the cast along with Maz Jobrani, Darius Homayoun, Tanael “TJ” Joachim, Manny Montana, and Lynch in the leading roles.
