WWE terminates Ridge Holland’s contract early due to social media post

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting through his Select service that WWE has terminated Ridge Holland’s contract one week early after complaining about the company not renewing his contract while he is out injured.

Sapp wrote that the termination was due to a breach of his contract, and while Holland complained that he was getting “totally f*cked” by WWE for no payments after November 14, his payments have now stopped following November 5.

Holland wrote a post on social media yesterday saying that he never thought he would not be able to pay his mortgage or support his family due to the inability to work because of an injury he suffered working for WWE while in TNA.

WWE is picking up the bills for his surgery and rehab but Holland is unable to work due to his injury which is keeping him sidelined for several months.

John Cena stops by Natalya’s and TJ Wilson’s Dungeon

With his days as a WWE Superstar winding down, John Cena has continued to visit WWE-affiliated training facilities, this time stopping by Natalya and TJ Wilson’s Dungeon.

Cena had a full audience at the facility in Florida, which Natalya calls a workshop for advanced students. Among those present were WWE United States champion Ilja Dragunov, and Dungeon regulars Maxxine Dupri, B-Fab, and Angelo Dawkins of The Street Profits.

“The brilliance, ability & generosity of @TJWilson & @natbynature is astounding,” Cena wrote in a post on X. “The Dungeon’s existence shows how dedicated my two friends are to the industry we love. Dungeon’s Rules – INVITE ONLY COST $0.00 fees are paid in passion & ‘hustle’. FLAKE OUT, invite revoked. All they ask is all any audience asks … give everything you have.”

Natalya thanked Cena for stopping by, saying he understands the Dungeon the way her grandfather intended it to be: real, raw, rooted in passion, hustle, and love for the game.

“What you brought to our practice was a storytelling masterclass and a reminder of what greatness looks like. Truly surreal,” she wrote.

Cena has recently visited the WWE Performance Center twice.

No AEW Women’s Tag Team titles for Mercedes Mone and Athena as they are eliminated

AEW Women's Tag Team titles

When the AEW Women’s Tag Team titles were announced, many thought it was another way to put another title on Mercedes Mone.

But things took a twist last night on Dynamite after the ROH Women’s champion Athena and the TBS champion Mone lost their first round match against Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, ending their participation in the tournament.

The match had the interference of Billie Starkz, who tried to help Athena, and Kris Statlander, who chased Mone.

Athena ended up taking the pinfall for her team after Nightingale dropped her with the Doctor Bomb followed by Cameron’s unnamed finisher.

The two now face Skye Blue and Julia Hart in the semi final.

Blood and Guts battle advantages and change to women’s team

Blood and Guts

Blood and Guts battle advantages were held on Dynamite last night.

In the men’s match, Claudio Castagnoli defeated Orange Cassidy to give the advantage to Death Riders but then Darby Allin defeated Daniel Garcia to get things even. A third match, Jon Moxley vs Roderick Strong, has now been booked for Collision with the winner determining who will have the numerical advantage in the match.

In the women’s match, Megan Bayne defeated Mina Shirakawa to give the first advantage to her team. The scheduled Skye Blue vs Jamie Hayter match will now take place on Collision and if Hayter wins to even things up, Harley Cameron vs Thekla will then decide who gets the advantage.

Shirakawa, who was not originally in the Blood and Guts match, replaced Queen Aminata who is unable to compete. Aminata was supposed to wrestle Bayne in the advantage match.

Understanding the difference between probability and odds in gambling

In gambling, players are constantly dealing with uncertainty. Whether you are spinning slots at Betpanda Casino, playing poker, or betting on sports, you are essentially trying to predict the outcome of random events. To do this effectively, understanding probability and odds is key. While the two concepts are closely related, they are used differently in games and betting.

What Is Probability in Gambling?

Probability measures how likely an event is to happen. It is usually expressed as a percentage. For example, if you are taking free kicks in soccer and score 7 out of 10 times, an observer could say you have a 70% probability of scoring on your next attempt.

In gambling, probability works the same way. Whether you are drawing cards in poker, rolling dice, or spinning a roulette wheel, probability tells you how often you can expect a particular outcome in the long run. Casino games, sports bets, and lotteries all have probabilities built into their design, even if the exact calculation is more complex.

What Are Odds in Gambling?

Odds describe the same likelihood as probability but in a different format. Using the free-kick example, your probability of 70% could be converted into odds of 1/7 for the next attempt. However, when it comes to online casinos and sportsbooks, odds usually reflect payouts, not the true chance of winning.

For instance, a fair coin has a 50% chance of landing heads. True odds would pay 1:1, meaning a $10 bet would return $10 profit plus your stake. In practice, online casinos and sportsbooks offer slightly lower payouts, such as 1.8 in decimal odds. That $10 bet would earn $8 profit instead of $10, leaving a margin for the house.

Types of Odds

Online gambling uses three main formats for odds:

  1. Decimal Odds – Divide 1 by the decimal value, then multiply by 100 to get the probability. Example: 2.0 decimal odds → 1/2 × 100 = 50%.
  2. Fractional Odds – Divide 1 by the fraction plus 1, then multiply by 100. Example: 3/1 → 1 / (3+1) × 100 = 25%.
  3. American Odds – Calculated differently for positive and negative numbers:

* Positive: 100 / (odds + 100) × 100. Example: +150 → 100/(150+100) × 100 = 40%.

* Negative: |odds| / (|odds| + 100) × 100. Example: -300 → 300/(300+100) × 100 = 75%.

These formulas let you convert payout odds into the probability implied by the bookmaker. True probability may differ slightly, but this helps you gauge potential risk and reward.

Why Odds and Probability Matter

Understanding both concepts is crucial for informed gambling. Probability shows the real chance of winning, while odds reveal how much you stand to gain. Experienced casino players, poker enthusiasts, and sports bettors always consider both before placing bets.

Knowing the probability helps you choose games with better expected outcomes, while comparing it with payout odds shows where the house edge lies. For example, a slot with 96% RTP gives you a better chance over time than one with 92%, even if the jackpot looks bigger. Similarly, sports bettors can compare the implied probability from odds to their own predictions to find value bets.

Conclusion

Probability and odds are two sides of the same coin. Probability tells you the likelihood of winning, while odds indicate the payout you can expect. In online casinos and sportsbooks, odds are slightly adjusted to secure profit for the house.

Learning to read both is essential for anyone serious about gambling. Once you understand how to convert odds to probability and vice versa, it becomes easier to make smart decisions, whether you are playing slots, poker, or betting on sports. In the world of iGaming, knowledge of the math behind the games gives you a clear edge and helps you enjoy your gaming responsibly.

Can casino dealers gamble where they work?

In most industries, companies set clear boundaries around what employees can and can’t do and casinos are no exception. With online and land-based casinos, the dealers are right in the middle of the action and in the best position to enjoy benefits like the Betpanda bonus.

You might however be shocked to hear that operators take extra precautions to protect their profits and maintain fairness by preventing their staff, especially dealers, from gambling at their workplace. Still, not all venues follow the same approach, and the details vary depending on the casino’s internal policy.

So, can casino employees actually gamble where they work? Let’s find out how this rule plays out across the iGaming and land-based sectors.

Are Dealers Allowed to Gamble at Their Casino?

There are no official laws that stop casino employees from gambling. Instead, it’s up to each operator to decide what’s acceptable. Some casinos have relaxed policies, allowing staff to play during their off-hours. In rare cases, operators even encourage it, believing it helps employees stay connected to the gaming experience.

However, most casinos prefer to limit or completely forbid gambling among staff members, especially dealers. The most lenient rules usually allow them to play in areas outside their department. For instance, a table dealer might be allowed to play slots or video poker but not participate in table games.

Other casinos enforce stricter policies, banning employees from gambling anywhere on the property. These rules typically apply only to that specific venue, so dealers can still visit and play at sister casinos or competing properties nearby.

At times, even those freedoms come with limits. For example, Caesars Casino famously prohibits employees from collecting progressive jackpots at related properties. They can play and win fixed prizes, but if they hit a major jackpot, they can’t cash it out.

Similarly, major events like the World Series of Poker remain off-limits to staff. To make up for it, casinos sometimes host internal tournaments just for employees. In contrast, a few venues go further and restrict their staff from gambling altogether, even outside the company’s network.

Why Casinos Enforce Gambling Restrictions

There are a few reasons behind these rules. One of the main concerns is protecting employees from developing unhealthy gambling habits. Dealers spend long hours around gaming tables, which can increase the temptation to play during their downtime.

But the policies aren’t only about employee welfare — they’re also about protecting the casino’s bottom line. Management fears that employees who gamble might be drawn into unethical situations, such as colluding with players or manipulating outcomes. Even though casino games rely heavily on chance, dealers understand the mechanics of each game far better than the average visitor, and that insider knowledge could give them an unfair advantage.

To avoid any perception of bias or conflict of interest, casinos often choose the safest route: banning dealers from gambling in certain areas or altogether.

Are These Rules Fair?

At first glance, it might seem unfair to tell someone how to spend their free time. After all, dealers are professionals who deserve personal freedom once their shifts end. However, from the casino’s perspective, these restrictions make sense. Preventing potential misuse of insider knowledge and maintaining public trust are both vital for business.

Fortunately, most casinos apply these limits only within specific departments or locations. Dealers are usually free to play at other casinos, especially with competitors where no conflict exists.

Alternative Options for Dealers

For dealers who enjoy gambling but can’t do it at work, online casinos offer a convenient alternative. Licensed iGaming platforms provide everything from slots and table games to live dealer titles, all accessible from a phone or computer.

These online options let casino workers enjoy the thrill of gaming without breaking workplace rules or crossing any boundaries. With hundreds of games from top software providers, there’s no shortage of entertainment available.

Final Thoughts

So, can casino dealers gamble at their workplace? It depends on where they work. While most land-based casinos restrict staff gambling to some degree, others offer limited flexibility. In most cases, the rule is simple: dealers can’t gamble in their department but can often play elsewhere.

And when in doubt, online casinos remain a safe and enjoyable alternative. At the end of the day, the goal isn’t to stop employees from having fun. it’s to ensure fairness, protect integrity, and keep both the players and the house on even ground.

Grayson Waller on WWE’s trip to Australia, A-Town Down, upsetting Taylor Swift fans, and more

Grayson Waller sat down with Chris Van Vliet in Anaheim, California to discuss WWE’s recent trip to Australia and not being a part of the Crown Jewel card, the rise of Australian wrestlers, ending his alliance with Austin Theory and A-Town Down, teaming with The New Day, what he really thinks of the Canadian Destroyer, upsetting Taylor Swift fans, recently debuting a new finisher, who his WWE dream match is, and more!

On upsetting Taylor Swift fans:

“That was a beautiful thing. And it was just like, it’s funny what we do. We talk for an hour today. You don’t know what the 10 seconds of this interview are that people are going to latch on to. And the same with any interview. I just made a joke on The Bump that if Travis Kelce is happy settling for a six, good for him, which is funny. That’s a great line. I was pretty happy with that, but I didn’t even think about it until all of a sudden, I have these cringe mums on TikTok who don’t spend time with their kids doing videos on me about how ugly I am. And they were saying some wild stuff, like Swifty fans are mean. There was one lady who was talking about how I had no lips. Never in my life have I thought about not having lips, and I’m looking at the mirror like, do I not have lips? They got my head a little bit. But I doubled down on it too, because I think people get stressed about when you annoy the fan base, especially the Swifties. But I doubled down on it because it was so fun. They were so angry and so upset. But there has been a part two to the story. So recently, George Kittle invited a few of us, it’s called Tight End University in Nashville, and all the tight ends train together for a couple of days, and they do a few events. And he invited us to this party one night. So me, Bayley and Sheamus all went to Nashville. Went to the party, and then Swifty and Travis Kelsey were both there. Now in the back of my mind, she doesn’t know who I am, but I’m like, oh, man, imagine if at some stage they’re scrolling through their phone and they’ve seen this idiot Australian has said a really rude thing. So I’m a bit like man, I’m gonna have to fight Travis Kelce. I’ve said multiple times, I’ll fight Travis Kelsey. And then I see how big tight ends are and how big he was, I’m gonna win, but it’s gonna be scrap. So I’m there with Sheamus and there’s all these famous people up there. We met Theo Von. There’s all the tight ends. Obviously, there’s just all these well-known people. They all know Sheamus. Obviously, he’s pale, so it’s like, you get this bright light in the corner of your eye, like you’re opening up the fridge. So it’s kind of painful for a second. So they’re all coming up and talking to him, and then Kelce comes up. Here we go. And he was super nice, Cena-esque. I’ll give him Cena-esque in the sense. He didn’t have to come over and chat to us. Super chill. Chatted to us for a bit. I was like, ‘Hey, man, Jason’s done some stuff. When are we getting you coming in?’ He’s like football first type of thing. So he was really cool. Didn’t get to meet Taylor officially. She did walk past me at some stage, and I had to move and go, oh, sorry. And she said, Thank you. So I think that’s the reconciliation. A good sister, too. She was just up there. I guess in my head, I thought, Taylor Swift, she can have all this security around all this. She was just sinking beers with the boys, just hanging upstairs. I was like, she’s good, good for her. There we go, reconciliation. I think the circle’s done. The circle’s finished. I was like, any, any girl who’s that famous, who just sits drinking with the boys and then goes down and does a song on the fly, that’s good.”

On his Mexican Destroyer videos:

“For some reason I think people forget how dangerous that move is. Legitimately, because everyone does it. If you watch an indie show, they’ll do it four or five times.”

You took it off the top rope:

“I got backstage, and some people weren’t happy with me. They were like, don’t do that. Someone pulled me aside and said, ‘Don’t ever do that again.’ It was just like, I understand the risks involved, and obviously I don’t want to take a move like that, but Penta is very good at what he does, but it’s very dangerous and it’s scary to be in that position. And I think sometimes we do so much wild stuff that sometimes we forget to put in perspective how wild that would be for someone off the street to be in that position, that high up, taking something like that. So that was a stressful thing. I think sometimes you go into, I don’t want to say go into shock, because that seems super scary. But when that impact happens and it’s like, Am I okay? Am I okay? You do legitimately check yourself. Am I okay? Do I feel okay? Obviously, adrenaline is a crazy thing too, so sometimes you don’t feel stuff, and then a couple hours later you do. So it’s like, sometimes it’s a real, you say sell, but it’s real. I’m like, Am I okay? Am I okay? And thank God I was.”

On a future dream match:

“I’ve said it a few times now. I’m gonna keep saying it. Right now, I want Punk. I want Punk so bad, dude. Because, as I said, as a ROH guy, I’ve watched Punk for a long time. I love the stuff he did in Ring of Honor. I loved when he signed his WWE contract on the Ring of Honor Championship, that’s so good. And when he came back, because I said some really mean things about Punk when he wasn’t here. I remember I took a super kick from Jey Uso, and it was the day that Punk left his last job. I took a super kick, and I put a photo online of me icing my jaw with a Pepsi can, which was just like, sometimes I like to have fun online and cause some chaos. So when he was coming over here, I was like, This is gonna be fun. What Punk are we gonna get? And then we’ve got this real soft Punk. So I want to find out who the real Punk is.”

Soft in what way?

“I’ll give some examples. I go to NXT last year, and he’s there with Fraxiom watching their match back, giving them some advice. And then Roxanne’s there and he’s like, ‘Hey, Waller, want to come watch this match?’ What do you mean? He’s really helpful backstage, and he’s super nice and all this. I’m either gonna be really disappointed that he’s softened, and this is the new Punk, and he’s just a really nice guy now, or the real Punk is hiding in there, and I want to be the one to bring it out. That’s what I want to do. Because it’s like, I guess I was ready to fight him backstage. I thought that’s what we were gonna do. I was like this is gonna be sick, he’s gonna start causing chaos, he’s gonna beat gonna beat up little flops backstage again, I’m in dude. But now he’s just a really nice guy and very helpful to everyone, helps everyone at NXT and does all this. That’s not the Punk that I love. I want to bring it back out, so I’m gonna get that opportunity. I’ve told him to his face, I’m like, there’s gonna be a day where I’m gonna stand across from you with a microphone, and I’m gonna tell you exactly what I think about you, and I want you to tell me exactly what you think about me. And I think that’s gonna be magic, because I don’t think we’ve seen NXT Waller on the main roster yet. I’ve had a lot of fun. I’m being very fun, but I don’t think they’ve seen how mean I can be, how cruel I can be. When I really lock in on something, I’m a different breed, and I don’t think I’ve been that recent. Just talking about it right now, I can feel it inside, that’s what I need. If you want to see a different side of me, put me against that guy. I’ll show you the real me.”

Upcoming 3-day block of TNA shows at Full Sail University have shockingly low ticket sales

The three upcoming TNA events at Full Sail University next week are not exactly setting the world on fire when it comes to ticket sales.

The live episode of Impact on Thursday, November 13 is seriously suffering from lack of sales, with three out of five sections at the small arena having almost all tickets available and the two other sections also having few tickets sold. The prices are not helping either, with $61.79, $92.75, and $164.99 to get in.

The TNA+ streaming event Turning Point on Friday, November 14 has much better sales than the previous day, but still a lot of unsold ticket remains. These prices are $74.76, $92.75, and $164.99.

The Impact television tapings on Saturday, November 15 are just as bad as the November 13 show, with a lot of tickets remaining for sale. Prices are the same as the first live show.

Unless they manage to move a lot more tickets over the next several days, it will be quite an issue to make these tapings look decent on TV.

Royal Rumbles and real risks: what WWE can learn from the world of sports betting

In the world of professional wrestling, unpredictability is part of the entertainment. Fans tune in because they never know for sure who’s getting the push, who’s turning heel, or when a shocking return might happen. While the outcomes may be scripted, the tension and excitement feel every bit as real as a last-minute touchdown or a buzzer-beater in basketball. That’s precisely why the crossover between wrestling and sports betting has become such an interesting conversation — and why WWE could stand to learn a few lessons from the rapidly growing world of legalized sports wagering.

From fan engagement to business models, there’s a lot WWE can take from the playbook of live betting platforms. And as the global sports betting market continues to skyrocket, the potential for crossover appeal grows even stronger. Here’s a closer look at how WWE could take a page from sports betting’s success story.

1. The Art of Suspense: A Shared Playbook

Any loyal wrestling fan knows that the thrill of watching WWE is all about the build-up. A slow burn feud, a shocking swerve, an underdog comeback — these are moments fans live for. Ironically, it’s the same emotional roller coaster that keeps sports bettors glued to their screens as they watch the odds shift in real time.

Sports betting platforms have mastered the art of suspense by offering live “in-play” betting, which allows fans to wager while a match or game is still happening. Imagine if WWE took a similar approach — offering fans limited-time predictions or live polls during a Royal Rumble or WrestleMania. Even with predetermined outcomes, WWE could invite fans into the “game within the game,” using engagement tools like real-time voting, fantasy brackets, or friendly wagers on things like who eliminates who.

That kind of interaction transforms passive viewers into active participants, making the experience more immersive and memorable.

2. Monetizing Fan Engagement

Sports betting has successfully tapped into the emotional and financial investment of everyday sports fans. It’s why betting companies are raking in billions, and why even casual spectators can feel like part of the action with just a few taps on their screen. WWE might not be able to offer traditional betting due to its scripted nature, but it can still borrow heavily from the business model.

Apps and platforms associated with WWE could include predictive play, virtual wagering, or even crypto-based fan challenges that mirror the experience of being “in on the action.” This kind of gamified content not only increases engagement but also opens up new revenue streams — especially among tech-savvy and younger audiences.

One example from outside the wrestling world includes the growing list of texas sweepstakes for Texas players, where gaming and rewards-based mechanics offer legal, high-engagement alternatives to traditional betting. WWE could leverage similar models to offer fans legal, fun, and rewarding ways to feel more involved — without crossing the line into real-money gambling.

3. Taking Risks with Storytelling and Structure

In sports betting, nothing is guaranteed. The underdog might win. The weather might change the course of a game. That volatility is what keeps people hooked. Wrestling companies, particularly WWE, have historically relied on certain booking patterns — safe bets, if you will — like part-timers winning big matches or predictable rivalry arcs that fizzle out.

But just like a daring wager can create huge emotional payoff in sports betting, WWE could benefit from taking more “risks” (in a narrative sense) — especially now that rival promotions like AEW are shaking things up. Shock title changes, surprise debuts, faction crossovers, or innovative match formats could recapture the sense of unpredictability that fans crave.

Even though the outcomes are pre-planned, WWE has shown with events like the 2020 Royal Rumble (with Drew McIntyre’s big win and Brock Lesnar’s elimination) that a little gamble with booking can go a long way.

Conclusion: Bet on the Fans

WWE and the world of sports betting might seem like distant cousins, but they share one important commonality: both rely on audience passion and engagement. With the sports betting industry on a meteoric rise, WWE has an opportunity to borrow some of its most effective strategies — from live engagement tools to gamified fan experiences.

Wrestling is already a hybrid of sport and spectacle. By fusing it with the interactivity and thrill of betting (even without real money), WWE could rewrite the rules of fan participation and usher in a new era of immersive entertainment.

Ridge Holland voices frustration over getting “totally f*cked” by WWE

Former WWE Superstar Ridge Holland wrote on social media that he feels “totally f*cked” by WWE after he was told his contract was not getting renewed after he got seriously injured.

“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage. I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE,” Holland wrote, referring to getting injured during a match against Moose in TNA.

Holland wrote on X last month that WWE informed him that he was not getting a new deal after his current contract expires on November 14.

“Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal,” he continued.

While Holland’s surgery and physical therapy is being covered by WWE for the whole duration, he will not be getting paid for the next several months where he cannot work due to his injury.

“Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f*cked,” he concluded.

The 37-year-old British star has been with WWE since 2018.
