No free ESPN Unlimited for YouTube TV subscribers yet

WWE ESPN

WWE fans who currently subscribe to YouTube TV will have to wait several more months before they can get ESPN Unlimited for free as part of their subscription.

When ESPN Unlimited, the home of all WWE premium live events in the United States, launched in September, it was only available free to a couple of cable and streaming providers, and while the list has expanded since then, one of the most popular streaming services is still without it.

In a blog post announcing new streaming plans, YouTube said that ESPN Unlimited will be coming in Fall of this year, meaning that fans who subscribe and want to watch WWE PLEs, still have to shell out an additional $29.99 for the next several months to get ESPN Unlimited.

YouTube is launching a dedicated Sports Plan, among others, for $64.99 a month which will include FS1, NBC Sports Network, all of the ESPN networks, and eventually, ESPN Unlimited as well.

Las Vegas area bars unable to air WrestleMania 42 for customers

WrestleMania 42

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling is reporting through his Select service that bars and restaurants within the Allegiant Stadium area will not be able to broadcast WrestleMania live for their customers.

Apparently, a new rule is in place where shows cannot air in a public location if it’s within 50 miles of the event, with the idea behind it to increase ticket sales.

Typically, establishments pay a large licensing fee to be able to broadcast WWE premium live events at their premises, and that allows patrons to dine and drink at the location while also enjoying the shows.

WrestleMania 42 is lagging in ticket sales, largely due to high ticket prices as well as due to Vegas being generally really expensive on the whole.

Two title matches added to Elimination Chamber 2026 card

Elimination Chamber 2026

Two more matches were added to the Elimination Chamber premium live event in Chicago.

AJ Lee, who returned on Raw last night, will be taking on Becky Lynch for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title. This will be Lee’s first solo match since March 16, 2015 where she lost to Nikki Bella on an episode of Raw.

Her husband, WWE World Heavyweight champion CM Punk will also be in action in front of his hometown crowd as he defends the title against Finn Balor of The Judgment Day. This will be a rematch from the January 19 Raw.

With the other two Elimination Chamber matches which are expected to run for at least over 30 minutes each, the show looks like it will contain the usual four-match card.

WWE pays tribute to longtime employee Jim Shank who passed away from cancer

The episode of Raw on Netflix last night ended with an in memoriam graphic for Jim Shank.

Shank, who passed away on February 6 right after his 60th birthday, was part of the WWE Event Technical Operations department where he worked for over 26 years and held the position of Technical Operations Manager.

Shank had been battling colorectal cancer for a few years and last year, a GoFundMe campaign for him raised over $220,745 which went towards his fight against cancer. Vince McMahon donated over half of that amount, with others such as Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Alexa Bliss, Bruce Prichard, Chris Jericho, and others donating large sums of money as well.

“On Friday, the @WWE family lost a beloved member of its production crew,” Triple H posted on X. “Jim Shank was a fixture backstage and an incredible teammate, who helped create the magic of the live experience at WWE. My thoughts and those of our entire crew and talent roster are with his family at this time. It’s never goodbye…but see ya down the road.”

Steve Austin added to WWE World at WrestleMania 42 weekend

WWE World 2026

WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin will be at WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas and has been announced to be appearing at WWE World on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19.

The Rattlesnake, who lives in Nevada, was present at last year’s WrestleMania and made headlines for the wrong reasons after he crashed his ATV into the barricade live during the show, injuring a fan. Austin was there to announce the attendance.

For now he’s scheduled for WWE World only where he will be greeting fans for photos and autographs. Tickets for his appearances go on sale next month.

Rhea Ripley and LA Knight advance to the Elimination Chamber

Elimination Chamber 2026

The Elimination Chamber qualifying matches continued last night on Raw, with two more advancing.

In the first match, Rhea Ripley defeated Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile to qualify for the women’s match while later in the show, LA Knight beat Penta and Austin Theory to advance in the men’s match.

Ripley now joins Tiffany Stratton and Knight joins Randy Orton, with four more spots available in each match.

The qualifiers continue for Raw next week with Gunther vs Je’Von Evans vs Dominik Mysterio and Bayley vs Asuka vs Nattie.

How boxing gloves affect your training performance

Boxing gloves are more than just protective gear—they directly influence how you train, how safely you punch, and how quickly you improve. Many beginners assume all gloves are the same, but experienced boxers know that the right gloves can improve performance, while the wrong ones can hold you back or even cause injury.

From padding and wrist support to glove type and durability, every design element plays a role in your training results. In this guide, we’ll explore how different boxing gloves affect training performance, compare premium options like Hayabusa T3 Gloves with standard gloves, and help you choose the best gloves for training based on your goals.

Why Boxing Gloves Matter More Than You Think

When you throw hundreds—or thousands—of punches during training, your gloves act as the interface between your hands and impact. Poor-quality gloves can lead to:

  • Hand and wrist injuries
  • Poor punching technique
  • Reduced endurance
  • Inconsistent performance

High-quality gloves, on the other hand, help maintain proper alignment, absorb shock efficiently, and allow you to train longer and harder with confidence.

Your gloves influence three critical areas:

  1. Comfort
  2. Safety
  3. Technique

Let’s break these down further.

Understanding Different Types of Boxing Gloves

Not all boxing gloves are designed for the same purpose. Using the wrong glove for a specific training activity can negatively affect performance and safety.

  1. Training Gloves (All-Purpose)

Training gloves are versatile and designed for multiple uses such as pad work, bag work, and light sparring. They usually balance protection, comfort, and durability.

Impact on performance:

  • Consistent feel across workouts
  • Moderate padding protects hands without dulling feedback
  • Ideal for beginners and intermediate fighters

Training gloves are often considered the best gloves for training if you want one pair that can handle most gym activities.

  1. Bag Gloves

Bag gloves are built specifically for heavy bag and pad work. They typically have firmer padding and a more compact design.

Impact on performance:

  • Improves punching accuracy and technique
  • Builds wrist and forearm strength
  • Offers better feedback on impact

However, bag gloves are not recommended for sparring due to limited protection for both you and your partner.

  1. Sparring Gloves

Sparring gloves are designed with maximum padding to protect both fighters during live practice.

Impact on performance:

  • Reduces injury risk
  • Encourages controlled punches
  • Allows longer sparring sessions

They are heavier, which can slightly reduce speed but significantly increase safety.

The Role of Boxing Glove Padding in Performance

One of the most important features of any glove is boxing glove padding. Padding determines how impact is absorbed and how protected your hands are.

Too Little Padding

  • Increased risk of knuckle injuries
  • Pain and inflammation
  • Shorter training sessions

Too Much Padding

  • Reduced feedback from punches
  • Can mask poor technique
  • Slower hand speed

High-end gloves use multi-layer foam systems that distribute impact evenly while maintaining responsiveness. This balance allows boxers to punch confidently without sacrificing technique.

Wrist Support: A Key Performance Factor

Wrist injuries are among the most common boxing-related problems. Gloves with weak wrist support can lead to misalignment during punches, especially when fatigue sets in.

Premium gloves focus heavily on:

  • Secure wrist closure systems
  • Extended cuffs
  • Ergonomic wrist alignment

This is where professional-grade gloves like the Hayabusa T3 Gloves stand out.

Hayabusa Gloves vs. Standard Boxing Gloves

Let’s compare Hayabusa gloves with typical standard gloves you’ll find on the market.

  1. Knuckle Protection
  • Standard gloves: Single-layer or basic foam padding
  • Hayabusa gloves: Advanced layered foam for superior shock absorption

This means less strain on your hands and more confidence during heavy sessions.

  1. Wrist Support
  • Standard gloves: Basic Velcro straps with limited stability
  • Hayabusa T3 Gloves: Patented dual-strap closure system that locks the wrist in place

Better wrist support translates directly to stronger, safer punches.

  1. Comfort and Fit
  • Standard gloves: Generic fit, often requiring hand wraps to compensate
  • Hayabusa gloves: Ergonomic design that naturally aligns the fist

This improves comfort and reduces unnecessary muscle tension during long workouts.

  1. Durability
  • Standard gloves: Tend to break down quickly under heavy use
  • Hayabusa gloves: Engineered for long-term durability with premium materials

Durable gloves maintain consistent performance over time, which is crucial for skill development.

How Gloves Affect Punching Technique

Your gloves influence how you punch more than you may realize.

Proper Alignment

Well-designed gloves keep your knuckles and wrist aligned, encouraging correct punching mechanics.

Feedback and Control

Quality gloves provide enough feedback to help you adjust technique without causing pain.

Endurance

Comfortable gloves reduce hand fatigue, allowing longer and more productive sessions.

When gloves fit properly and support your movements, you can focus fully on technique rather than discomfort.

Choosing the Best Gloves for Your Training Goals

Selecting the right gloves depends on how you train and what you want to achieve.

For Beginners

  • All-purpose training gloves
  • Balanced padding and strong wrist support
  • Comfortable fit

For Heavy Bag Focus

  • Firmer padding
  • Strong wrist stabilization
  • Durable materials

For Sparring

  • Heavier gloves (14oz–16oz)
  • Extra padding for safety
  • Secure wrist closure

For Serious Athletes

  • Premium gloves with advanced padding
  • Superior wrist support
  • Long-lasting construction

Investing in high-quality gloves early can prevent injuries and accelerate progress.

Final Tips for Selecting the Right Boxing Gloves

Before purchasing your next pair, keep these tips in mind:

  • Always choose gloves based on training purpose, not just looks
  • Prioritize wrist support and padding quality
  • Ensure proper sizing for your weight and hand size
  • Don’t compromise on durability if you train frequently

High-performance gloves like the Hayabusa T3 Gloves are designed to support serious training demands while keeping your hands protected and comfortable.

Conclusion

Boxing gloves play a critical role in shaping your training performance. From comfort and safety to technique and endurance, the right gloves can elevate every aspect of your workout.

Understanding glove types, padding systems, and wrist support helps you make smarter choices—and ultimately train harder, safer, and more effectively. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fighter, choosing the Best gloves for training is an investment in your performance and long-term success.

Double or Nothing 2026 to be held at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens

Double or Nothing

Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast is reporting that the AEW pay-per-view Double or Nothing will be held at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

The 14,000-seater tennis stadium is located at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows and opened in 2018.

This stadium is next door to Arthur Ashe, which has played host to AEW Grand Slam in previous years.

Double or Nothing, usually a Las Vegas pay-per-view, moved away from Sin City last year, partly because of WrestleMania being held there the month before. Last year’s event was held at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Bad Bunny rumored for WWE return

WWE celebrity wrestler Bad Bunny headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show yesterday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the site of WrestleMania 31.

While his performance and show turned political days after his involvement was announced, it’s being reported that the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show was seen by over 133.5 million viewers, breaking a new record in terms of viewership.

There are rumors that Bunny is expected to return to WWE very soon and could be involved at this year’s WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Netflix re-posted a video of him counting down his favorite WWE moments a few days ago and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque” wished Bunny good luck on X prior to the show.

Bunny has three matches under his belt, with the last one coming in May 2023 at Backlash in Puerto Rico in a street fight against Damian Priest.

The Grammy Award winner is currently on tour and will be in South America for most of the month before heading to Australia. He has no shows between March 2 and May 22, which might allow him enough time to get back in ring shape and show up at Mania.

WWE Hall of Famer Fred “Typhoon” Ottman hospitalized for a month

WWE Hall of Famer Fred “Typhoon” Ottman posted a video on his social media saying that he has been hospitalized for a whole month in St. Petersburg, Florida.

He said he tried to keep this on the low due to privacy, but acknowledged it’s hard to do it with the internet and “those armchair people” so he decided to come out with the news himself.

“I had a, unfortunately, my gallbladder exploded inside of me, and it released a bunch of poison into my body, so I’ve been on my back for 30 days,” he said, noting that the surgeons told him that he had a major infection along with some other stuff that he had been dealing with.

“If I would have waited one more day, the doctors told my wife that I probably wouldn’t be here with you and be able to talk to you guys,” he continued.

Ottman, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year, said that he lost a lot of muscle mass and he’s learning how to walk again after a whole month in bed.

“I mean, it’s been a brutal fight, I’ve been learning how to walk again, you know, and it’s been a fight, it’s been a fight, not out of the woods yet, but Monday afternoon later, they’re gonna let me out of here,” he said.

He still needs to return to the hospital later in the month for another operation to remove the drainage bag out.

Ottman thanked his family, friends, and wrestling buddies for their support.

Bron Breakker undergoes hernia surgery

PWInsider.com is reporting that Bron Breakker underwent hernia surgery and is out of action for an undetermined amount of time.

The injury happened when Breakker flipped the Raw commentary table over last week and by Wednesday it was confirmed that he is required to undergo surgery to fix it.

It is bad timing for the young WWE Superstar as the company heads into WrestleMania season. Hernia surgery usually takes up six weeks for recovery but it could take longer depending on the severity.

Breakker will be off WWE television until he recovers, putting the masked man attack storyline on the back burner for the time being.

Gable’s Original El Grande Americano returns to AAA on FOX

WWE AAA

While Chad Gable has not been featured on WWE television since his return at the Royal Rumble as the Original El Grande Americano, he wrestled on last night’s live episode of AAA on FOX.

In a backstage segment, Original attacked Ludwig Kaiser’s version of the character and handcuffed him, preventing him from participating in the match for a spot in the AAA Rey de Reyes tournament final.

Gable’s Americano then went on to defeat Dragon Lee, Octagon Jr., and Rey Fenix, advancing to the final himself.

After the match, Kaiser came out to a big pop from the crowd but Gable managed to escape.

The fatal four-way Rey de Reyes tournament final to determine the #1 contender for the AAA Mega Championship now has El Grande Americano and La Parka in the match, with two more opponents yet to be determined.

WWE AAA

Chelsea Green was replaced for her mixed tag team match on AAA on FOX last night due to an injury, resulting in her tag team partner Ethan Page and replacement La Hiedra losing the AAA Mixed Tag Team titles to Mr. Iguana and NXT’s Lola Vice.

It was the popular Vice who pinned La Hiedra for the win, earning her first-ever wrestling title under the WWE banner.

“The AUDACITY of @luchalibreaaa to throw @OfficialEGO into a match like that after I almost ended my career on Smackdown last night from a near fatal fall,” Green posted on X after the mach. “Ethan, we need to talk!!!”

Green added two photos of her right ankle all bruised up and then sporting a walking boot to her post.

Headbanger Mosh talks time in WWE, Beaver Cleavage gimmick, returning in 2016, and more

Chaz Warrington, better known to wrestling fans as Mosh, one half of the tag team The Headbangers, sat down with Chris Van Vliet at West Coast Creative Studio in Hollywood, California to discuss how he was paired up with Glenn Ruth (Thrasher) to form the tag team, how Jim Cornette created their name and look, his Beaver Cleavage gimmick, returning to WWE in 2016 for a match on Smackdown, getting set for his final match with The Headbangers in 2026, and more!

So where did the idea come from to make you guys The Headbangers?

“That came from Jim Cornette. So we left, we packed up the car and I started in June of 93, we packed up the car in April of 94 and went to Memphis for USWA as The Spiders. So we worked as The Spiders there, and then we were in Ozark Mountain Wrestling with Burt Prentice in Arkansas for a little over a year, maybe a year and a half. And what happened was, at the end of that, Burt started bringing in Ricky and Robert, The Rock and Roll Express, Tracy Smothers was bringing them in for our big show we had every Monday night. And then it was just Ricky and Tracy coming and we were working them. And the good part is that Larry would bring guys in. So he brought Jerry Lawler in back in the day, and then Cornette was there. So Glenn knew them and they knew of Glenn, and from being around and with Tracy and Ricky coming, we were giving them tapes like, ‘Hey, can you give this to Cornette? Can you give this to Cornette?’ Because USWA had the gateway into WWE back then, and so did Smoky Mountain. USWA, we went there as The Spiders. We were there a few months, and then we were gone. We couldn’t get back in. And so we’re like, okay, so Smoky Mountain is another way for us to try to get in. So Cornette called us one day, and he goes, ‘Hey, I got this idea. I’d like to bring you in. The Gangstas are getting ready to finish up. I’d like to bring you guys in.’ We’re like, Yeah, because with Burt Prentice, at that time, we were making 4 or $5 a night.

So when Cornette called us, he goes, ‘Hey, I had this idea. I want to bring you guys in, but I don’t like the masks. I don’t like masked wrestlers.’ Which is funny, because when he brought us in at Ring of Honor, what did he do? He put us under a mask first. But yeah, so he told us that, and you’re gonna laugh at this knowing Jim Cornette, he was at a Danzig concert in New York. He goes, ‘It was the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. These guys had earrings and their noses were pierced, and they had makeup on their face. They’re wearing dresses and they had tattoos.’ He goes, ‘With your guys’ attitude from the northeast, I think you could pull this idea I have off. I don’t really know what the idea is, other than you’d be Headbangers.’ He goes, ‘You would come out, listen to loud, obnoxious music. I want you to spit on people.’ I mean, the first TV we did, I walked down the ringside and I spit on every single person in the front row, right in their face. He didn’t care. He was like, if you find roadkill on the road, throw it in the back of the car, put it on a leash and drag it to the ring. We didn’t want to go that far. But I knew what he was talking about, the music he was talking about. I knew what he was talking about. I had been to the heavy metal concerts at The Bank, and I’ve been to them in The Spectrum in Philly with my buddies, so I knew exactly what he was talking about. I’d been in the mosh pits.”

How many matches did Beaver Cleavage have?

“One match. Four vignettes, undefeated.”

You have one match, but it lives on forever. Here we are, 27 years later, still talking about it.

“I have one of the worst gimmicks in the history of wrestling.”

Do you think it was one of the worst gimmicks?

“Probably. I still to this day don’t know where it truly came from, how the idea came up. I mean, I think the vignettes could possibly be some of the best vignettes ever done. They’re hysterical. I mean, I’m sitting there, and I come out of a room, and I tell my mother that I can’t find the cat. I can’t find the cat anywhere. She turns around. She goes, ‘You can’t find pussy?’ I go, ‘No, I can’t find pussy anywhere.’ Meanwhile, she’s peeling a zucchini, and she goes, ‘Well, Pussy is probably under the bed. I know what would get pussy…’ I have a scrape on my knee, and she’s cleaning my knees, and I go, ‘When it comes to working on your knees, my mom knows best.’ I mean, they’re priceless. There were no rules back then. Do whatever you have to do to get over, to draw ratings.”

So you have no idea where this idea came from?

“I have a general guess. First overseas tour we went to Kuwait. It’s the first overseas tour I was ever on. Jerry Brisco was the agent in charge of the trip. He gets my passport. He starts laughing. Now, my passport picture at that point was from when I was 20 years old. So he looks at it, and he starts laughing, and he goes, ‘Oh, look at you. You look just like Leave It to Beaver.’ I’m like, Okay? So on that trip I was called Beav, and then I found this out the other day. I didn’t know this. Bruce Prichard was a huge Leave It to Beaver fan. So everyone wants to blame it on Russo. I mean, Russo helped with the vignettes, and he was there when we did all the vignettes. But I don’t know who actually came up with the idea of, let’s have a Leave It to Beaver character, and we’re going to insinuate that he’s having sex with his mother. I don’t know who came up with it, but when it was presented to me, I was like, okay. I was home, Glenn was hurt. He was rehabbing his knee. I’m gonna get used, I’m gonna be on TV. If I’m on TV, then I go to house shows. I make money when I’m on house shows, because back then, we didn’t have a guaranteed contract. So I’m like, sure, whatever. I’d never done singles before, other than those three matches I had when I first started down at Monster Factory. I was like, Yeah, this will be cool. The vignettes were funny. Then for me, it was a character. So I was able to dive into this big kid wearing a propeller hat, burying my face in my mother’s boobs every time I went out to the TV, or staring at her boobs. Everything revolved around my head being in her boobs. So I was like, This is funny, it’s fun, I don’t know, we’ll see what happens.”

Weren’t you training with some pretty big names at The Monster Factory?

“Yeah, D’Lo was down there. Boo Bradley [Balls Mahoney] was down there. Then when we had left, Big Show had come down, but this was months later. D’Lo actually was a huge part. So D’Lo kind of trained himself, did the backyard thing, and him and his friends would come down and rent the ring, and they put on a whole production. They were great. They had lights, they had ring music. They had their own matches. They videoed it all. It was great. Glenn and I would stay and watch, because they would rent the ring on a Saturday afternoon. So after we got done training, Glenn and I would sit there and watch. So when Larry convinced D’Lo to join the school. D’Lo is actually the one who helped us perfect the Stage Dive, our finisher. So he was a huge part of that.”

What a finisher! It’s one of the greatest tag team finishers in the history of wrestling.

“It’s not one of, it is the greatest tag team finisher of all time, the most underrated finisher. And we say that, and Glenn’s way more passionate about than I am. He gets hot when it comes up. But what’s so great about it is the timing, nothing else. You need timing for the 3D, LODs finisher, really no timing. You just stand up and jump off. Matt and Jeff’s finishers, The Hart Foundation, there’s really no [timing required] because you’re just holding one up. Even Demolition, as much as I love them, it’s just across the knee with the elbow coming off. With ours, the timing is important. But what else is important is what you have to do. If I’m giving you the Power Bomb Leg Drop, there’s a way you have to land so you don’t get hurt, and Glenn doesn’t get hurt. You have to turn your head, you have to put your arm down. There’s a lot more to it, and it’s never been duplicated.”

U.S. Senator calls for Tony Khan to bring Bad Bunny to AEW

United States Senator Ruben Gallego from Arizona called for AEW President Tony Khan to bring in Bad Bunny to AEW in a post on X.

The post comes following the big publicity the company received for the “F*ck ICE” chants on Dynamite earlier in the week.

“@TonyKhan it’s time for @AEW to solidify a huge fan base.” Gallego wrote. “@sanbenito love wrestling, need him to make some appearances. Just no stretcher match please.”

Bunny, who won big at the Grammy Awards this year, is often associated with WWE due to his previous collaborations with them, including three matches, one of which at a WrestleMania.
