Appearing on ESPN’s First Take, former WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins said t hat he’s nearing a return to WWE.

Rollins appeared on the show yesterday, and showed the hosts the range of motion in his arm, but shot down the idea of appearing tonight at the Elimination Chamber.

“No. I will not be able to do anything this weekend. But we’re getting close,” the former leader of The Vision said. “I mean, look…I can move it around, it’s not in a sling anymore. It’s feeling good.”

Rollins added that he did the surgery in October and when you look at the timeline, they’re getting close.

“We’re getting close. We’re not all the way there, but we’re getting close, guys,” he continued.

Rollins’ injury came at Crown Jewel: Perth last year when he went for a coast-to-coast diving headbutt but tore his rotator cuff after landing badly on his shoulder.

On the following Raw, he was taken out by Bron Breakker and then vacated the title.

The Australian star posted a photo on Instagram from a hospital bed, writing, “Surgery done. Tomorrow is DAY ONE. The road back.”

Nia Jax and Lash Legend win the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles

There are new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions as the unbreakable team of Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky suffered a defeat by The Irresistible Forces, the team of Nia Jax and Lash Legend, last night on Smackdown.

The finish came when Ripley performed the Riptide on Nia Jax, but Jax was not the legal woman in the ring. Legend sneaked in from behind and then flattened Ripley with the Lash Extension, pinning her cleanly for the win.

It is a rare loss for Ripley, whose pin ended the duo’s 54-day reign as WWE Women’s Tag Team champions.

This is the third tag title win for Jax but the first one for Legend in her WWE career.

Logan Paul replaces Jey Uso in Elimination Chamber match

Elimination Chamber 2026

There will be a Vision member after all in the Elimination Chamber.

Jey Uso was found laid out at the beginning of Smackdown, causing a huge commotion backstage with many WWE Superstars and officials yelling and screaming.

Uso was eventually loaded into an ambulance and was accompanied by family member Jacob Fatu, who himself was in a Chamber qualifying later in the broadcast against Paul.

But in the main event, it was The Maverick who advanced after WWE champion Drew McIntyre interfered in the match, taking out Fatu with the WWE title. This allowed Paul to perform a simple roll-up to get the victory and a spot in the match.

The masked man also made an appearance but his attempt this time was thwarted. He was unmasked by Paul, but revealed an unknown individual.

Paul now joins Randy Orton, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Je’Von Evans, and Trick Williams in the men’s Elimination Chamber match.

Danhausen posts cryptic messages on social media ahead of Elimination Chamber

The star posted the songs Freedom Slam by Freedom and Finally Free by Bad Beat in two Instagram stories and then an illustration of a genie on X.

Danhausen has been part of AEW since 2022 and requested his release from the company in August of last year, a release which was denied. In return, AEW extended his contract by several months due to his 2023 injury. He remains on the AEW roster page as of this writing.

The mystery crate bounced from Raw to Smackdown leading up to the Elimination Chamber, with both general managers refusing it, ultimately agreeing to opening it on tomorrow’s show. The crate had a print of do not open until tomorrow’s date.

Ticketmaster sends e-mail to all WrestleMania ticket holders notifying on start time change

WrestleMania 42

An e-mail went out to all WrestleMania ticket holders yesterday saying that the start time was changed from 4PM PT to 2:30PM PT.

This does not mean that the show will actually start an hour and a half earlier than usual, and it’s hard to think that a show would not start at the top of the hour.

Since WrestleMania is on the West Coast again, it starts bright and early to accommodate the usual 7PM ET slot. At this new start time, it would be at 5:30PM ET, although that is likely for the kick off show.

Thousands and thousands of tickets remain available both for WrestleMania Saturday and Sunday, with this year’s event really hurting to move past the 37,000 ticket mark on each day.

Nick Khan says WWE team will be at Asia Cup in Saudi next year for WrestleMania venue tips and tricks

WrestleMania 43

In the conference call with investors yesterday to discuss the TKO Q4 2025 earnings, WWE President Nick Khan answered a question regarding what lessons WWE learned from hosting the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

Khan said that there were a lot of things learned since it was their first time doing such an event at a pop-up stadium and will be looking at the 2027 Asia Cup, which takes place in Saudi Arabia in January and February 2027, for more tips and tricks.

Khan mentioned that the Asia Cup will take place from “the same venue” as WrestleMania, but failed short in mentioning which venue. The Asia Cup will be held across eight stadiums in the Kingdom, including the newly-renovated King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh, which seats 60,000 fans.

“That’s three and a half weeks of international football/soccer action, which there will be a lot of learnings coming out of that in terms of the look of the venue, the feel of the venue, how to light it properly and how to get all of those nuances down,” Khan said.

He also mentioned that some of their production team will be there for the entirety of the tournament to take notes.

WWE got a lot of criticism for their production of the Royal Rumble, especially for the lights added to each seat which made the arena look empty.

Fees paid by WWE to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed in latest SEC filing

He also receives annual royalties in connection with the sale of licensed products that utilize the term The Rock and his name, likeness and other intellectual property rights in accordance with the agreement.

TKO paid $900,000 in royalties during 2025 for use of his likeness.

Johnson is also entitled to reimbursement for certain travel expenses associated with delivering services and was paid $600,000 for these expenses in 2025.

The Rock owns a total of 289,673 shares in TKO, with a value of over $40 million. He received 96,557 shares this year as part of his agreement to be on the TKO Board.

Netflix drops out of the race to buy Warner Bros. and HBO Max

WWE’s media partner Netflix has dropped out of the race to buy Warner Bros. after a seemingly done deal following a new and improved bid from Paramount Skydance.

Netflix bid to take over Warner Bros. and its HBO Max streaming service and intellectual property rights, leaving Discovery and its channels such as TNT, TBS, CNN, and more to be spun off in a new company.

But Paramount Skydance submitted a new, higher bid, a bid which Warner Bros. Discovery said it was superior. Netflix has refused to match or present a better offer, with Netflix co-CEOs saying that the deal is no longer financially attractive.

The sale has implications to a certain extent for AEW, which airs on TNT and TBS as well as on HBO Max. Warner Bros. Discovery also owns a stake in the company.

TKO Group already has a partnership with Paramount Skydance, with the UFC airing on Paramount+ in a multi-billion dollar deal.

Report: AJ Styles signs new deal with WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that AJ Styles has signed a new contract with WWE, which will see him transition from a WWE Superstar to a backstage role, helping developing new talent, serving as a mentor and coach.

The Phenomenal One poured cold water on an AEW run during an appearance on the Talk ‘N Shop Live podcast yesterday, saying that he is officially retired from the ring and will keep working with WWE in a different role.

Styles was given proper send-off this past Monday on Raw and was surprised with a Hall of Fame announcement by none other than The Undertaker himself.

The 48-year-old has spent the past decade working with WWE, winning multiple titles, including the WWE Championship on more than one occasion.

What is for sure is that with the likes of Shawn Michaels and AJ Styles developing the next crop of WWE Superstars, the future is in good hands!
