Rey Mysterio returns on WWE television

The 619 is back in service after Rey Mysterio returned to the ring on WWE television last night on RAW following an absence of almost eight months.

The former World Heavyweight champion has been sidelined due to a knee injury prior to WrestleMania and was written off television after he was attacked by Mark Henry back in March. Last month Mysterio wrestled in a non-televised event during WWE’s tour of Mexico.

Mysterio came back to help CM Punk and Daniel Bryan at the end of the country edition of RAW from Nashville after the duo were attacked by the Wyatts, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro. Mysterio cleaned house and even delivered a double 619 to a big ovation from the fans and later joined Bryan, Punk, Usos, Rhodes, and Goldust in celebration.

Vince McMahon to send replica WWE titles to MLB award winners

Yesterday afternoon, the official Twitter account of the MLB posted a photo of a title belt which is pretty much a rip-off of the current WWE title, saying that Max Scherzer and Clayton Kershaw won the 2013 American League Cy Young Awards for the American League and National League respectively.

The title has the Cy Young Award as the main plate, a photo of each winner on the left side plate, and the logo of their respective team as the right side plate.

The post prompted a reply from WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who most likely didn’t appreciate the Major League Baseball totally ripping off their title belt.

“@WWE will send the real thing to @MLB Cy Young Awards winners @Max_Scherzer and @ClaytonKersh22,” wrote McMahon, attaching a photo of the WWE title which has Randy Orton’s side plates at the top and the MLB version of the title at the bottom for comparison.

Jimmy Hart talks about Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX

Speaking with Arda Ocal of the Baltimore Sun, WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy Hart said that he believes Hulk Hogan will be at WrestleMania XXX come April 2014.

“He told me to say exactly this: Hulk Hogan will be at WrestleMania if he has to buy a ticket and sit at ringside,” Hart told Ocal while doing promotion for the upcoming History of the WWE DVD.

“I think he can step into the ring one more time. We have a school in Florida, and he stepped into the ring there and did some stuff, and he looked great,” Hart added.

He believes Hogan has some good matches left in him and as his friend he would be the first one to tell him to just hit the ring, rip the shirt, do the pose, sign a bunch of autographs, and leave, if he didn’t have faith in him.

“I’ve got my fingers crossed we see something at WrestleMania.”

Dwayne Johnson lands leading role in true story movie
