Hogan’s Beach restaurant in Tampa closes down

Multiple sources are reporting that Hulk Hogan’s restaurant Hogan’s Beach which is located on premises at the Best Western Bay Harbor Hotel in Tampa has closed business.

The restaurant opened in late 2012 and had its share of controversy when a dress code sign was posted outside banning attire that is often associated with black people. The sign was eventually taken down. Hogan often retweeted photos from the restaurant which was frequented by Jimmy Hart and Hogan himself.

The website for the restaurant has been taken down while the Facebook page is still operational however September 29 was the last time their social media team posted something on it. The Best Western Bay Harbor Hotel website still lists the restaurant as one of its dining options.

According to Florida Secretary of State documents, Hogan is listed as the owner of the restaurant with Hogan’s home address in Clearwater Beach, Florida, as the registered address. Hogan, under his real name Terry Bollea, is listed as the current registered agent. The document was filed on February 11, 2015.

Hulk still has the Hogan’s Beach Shop in Clearwater, Florida.

Owen Hart DVD/Blu-Ray gets a change in artwork

The upcoming Owen Hart DVD release has gotten a change of artwork and the King of Harts himself is now gracing the cover of the DVD/Blu-Ray box rather than just a logo and two small faded images of him.

Several legal battles between WWE and the Owen Hart estate, controlled by his widow Martha, resulted in WWE opting not to put any photos of Owen on his own DVD. WrestlingDVDNetwork.com is now reporting that there has been a change and WWE is now legally able to use an image of Owen as the front artwork. Martha has blasted WWE for going ahead with the project saying that it had no support from her or the kids and did not like that WWE is going to make money off Owen’s image and likeness.

In an interview last month, Bret Hart blamed Martha for restricting WWE and their work to present the best Owen Hart video. The video will contain a sit-down documentary with those who knew Owen and family members as well as matches from his career. Martha barred WWE from using pictures from Owen’s childhood or those from Stampede Wrestling as well.

It will be released in the United States on December 8. You can see the artwork below.

Not even Steve Austin himself knows if he will be on Raw next week!

Stone Cold Steve Austin claimed he was not appearing on Raw next week and said that it was a case of bad information. “I was never scheduled to do Raw,” Austin said. He was first advertised to be on the show with Flair, HBK, Taker, and Lesnar, but this past Monday he was left out of the graphic hyping up the last stop before Hell In A Cell.

An article published yesterday on WWE.COM shows Austin back in the picture and when was once again asked on Twitter what’s going on, Austin replied, “I have no idea at this point. All I know is I will be in Dallas.”

The former WWE champion will be interviewing Brock Lesnar for a new episode of the Stone Cold Podcast on the WWE Network which will be live right after Raw finishes.

EVOLVE’s Gabe Sapolsky talks relationship with WWE

In a statement addressed to EVOLVE fans, WWN Vice President of Talent Relations Gabe Sapolsky said that there are “no answers” to what’s going between WWE and WWN because apart from a growing relationship, the direction of this relationship is still unknown.

“There are rumors and speculation, but this relationship changes and develops almost weekly. This is a road that has never been traveled before. There is no precedent. We don’t know what to expect nor what is possible,” Sapolsky wrote.

WWE this week announced that it’s sending former NXT champion Sami Zayn to the EVOLVE shows in New York this weekend although he is not allowed to appear on their iPPV broadcast.

“All this means is that anything can happen. There are infinite possibilities. The only sure thing is that this will be a wild, unpredictable and thrilling ride. We will all find out where this road goes together. There is no telling what will happen next,” Sapolosky concluded.

Meanwhile WWE.COM has an article spotlighting EVOLVE and an interview with Gabe Sapolsky as well, noting that stars such as Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose, Kalisto, Solomon Crowe and Apollo Crews all came through the EVOLVE ranks.

Charlotte and Bram to keep their respective money in divorce settlement agreement

Ryan Satin, the former TMZ producer who now runs the Pro Wrestling Sheet website is reporting that WWE Divas champion Charlotte and suspended TNA wrestler Bram are closer to getting their divorced finalized.

A settlement agreement acquired by Satin shows that Bram has waived his rights to any money Charlotte has gotten from her WWE career while Charlotte has waived her rights on the money he earned from TNA as well as any movies he appeared in. This agreement is for their current money and any money they make in the future.

The agreement also shows that Charlotte will be keeping the home they lived in since she owned it before they were married along with a 2013 Mini Cooper while Bram keeps his 2000 Ford Mustang. When Bram was arrested in August it was not known if the couple were still together and he was charged with a domestic violence assault. It turned out that Bram has a new girlfriend and she was the one on the receiving end of the abuse.

Despite being suspended from TNA pending the outcome of the investigation, Bram is participating in the TNA World Title Series which was actually taped back in July.

WWE announces details for the 2015 Tribute to the Troops show

WWE today announced that the 13th annual WWE Tribute to the Troops event will be held on Tuesday, December 8, at Florida’s Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena for military personnel and their families stationed at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Naval Station Mayport and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base. Tribute to the Troops will air on USA Network on Wednesday, December 23, at 8PM EST.

While in Jacksonville, WWE Superstars and Divas will spend time giving back to those who serve and their families with Be a STAR anti-bullying rallies, hospital visits and military outreach at the Jacksonville Naval Air Station, Naval Station Mayport and Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base.

Florida Governor Rick Scott said, “We can never thank our veterans and military members enough for their brave service to our nation. It is important to frequently honor our American heroes for the sacrifices they have made to keep our families safe. Florida remains the most military friendly state in the nation and we are proud to host this year’s Tribute to the Troops celebration.”

Rear Adm. Mary Jackson, Commander, Navy Region Southeast said, “WWE has gone above and beyond the call of duty in supporting the men and women of the U.S. Navy. We are very fortunate to have the upcoming Tribute to the Troops right here in Jacksonville, home to more than 22,000 Sailors and their families. ESPN to hold a weekly WWE segment on SportsCenter

The announcement that Jonathan Coachman hinted on Twitter regarding ESPN and WWE working together is the creation of a weekly segment on ESPN SportsCenter covering the things going on in WWE. It will air every Tuesday as part of the 9PM EST broadcast.

“Remember fun and entertaining. All we are trying to do at ESPN regardless of content,” Coachman said on Twitter. “Remember we want to serve fans anytime anywhere. Athletes are @WWE fans. Superstars are sports fan. #cometogether”

ESPN producer Ashok Moore also chimed in saying that he’s very excited to be part of the continued partnership between WWE and ESPN.

WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins was the first guest who joined the show after a recap of what happened on Raw the day before. As Coach was doing the introductions, Rollins cut him off but Coach quickly put him in his place by saying he’s not Jon Stewart! Rollins proclaimed to be the New England Patriots of the WWE and everyone is jealous of him including Kane. He mentioned when Kane popped up from under the ring and dragged him down and Coach said he was under the ring once and there was a midget involved!

Coach then showed a clip of Rollins running down the Cleveland crowd at a recent Raw and how none of the Cleveland sports teams would be getting a title.  He said he talked crap about Johnny Manziel of the Cleveland Browns who was sitting ringside but Manziel was good sport about it.

Rollins said football is his favorite sport and then was asked about age restrictions in sports. Rollins noted that this is America and everyone is free to do what they want and pursue their dreams. Coach brought up the subject of the unwritten rule of compete but not hurting your opponent and Rollins said it’s probably in all sports as it’s up to you to take care of yourself and your opponent. He said accidents do happen like when he broke Cena’s nose last month but it’s all healthy competition.

You can see the segment below.
