AEW All Out 2020 PPV Pick’em report

Hello everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with one more PPV Pick’em for the summer. Tonight, Colin will be putting up his newly won WOPC Championship on the line in a triple threat rematch from last week’s Payback Pick’em. Tonight, Heel Turn Tom and I will try one more time to dethrone the champ! Whoever wins this will go on to defend their title at Clash of Champions later this month.

Without further ado, ON WITH THE PICKS!

Pre-Show Match
Britt Baker (with Rebel) vs. Big Swole

Tom: I am getting my WOPC title back! Interested on how a match in a dentist office goes. Is Isaac Yankem, available for a cameo? I like the work Britt has been doing injured, but tonight is Big Swole’s night with the win.

Magnum: Once I heard this was going to be a cinematic match, I started thinking that it will likely benefit Dr. Britt Baker. It should be a fun and crazy scene, but I’m gonna roll with Baker.

Colin: No idea what a “tooth and nail” match is. Probably something ridiculous as the eye for an eye match. With this being Britt Baker’s first match in a very long time, I can’t see her jobbing. Plus, it’s taped at her dental clinic so yeah, I don’t think she’s losing this one.

21-man Casino Battle Royale – Winner gets a future AEW World Championship match
Darby Allin vs. Lance Archer vs. Brian Cage vs. Ricky Starks vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Rey Fenix vs. The Butcher vs. The Blade vs. Eddie Kingston vs. Shawn Spears vs. Billy vs. Austin Gunn vs. Jake Hager vs. Santana vs. Ortiz vs. Chuck Taylor vs. Trent vs. TBD

Tom: Of the people in the match, I should pick Archer, Cage, or Hager…but one thing that AEW has shown is pick TBD. The surprise is always the wildcard and winner like Hangman Page and Brian Cage in the past. So, is it Brock Lesnar, Ryback, Rusev, Cody Rhodes…? Doesn’t matter I am taking TBD to win.

Magnum: TBD?! Tom, if you’re going to say TBD, you gotta pick who you think that is! Haha…I’m actually going to take Pentagon Jr. to win this – but you never know…someone could pull a Dean Malenko and hide under a mask!

Colin: So a bunch of guys here already had a crack at the AEW title and failed. The question is should they get a second chance or get someone new? To me, Lance Archer makes the most sense here. They’ll probably “cash in” this win at an upcoming episode of Dynamite and not at the next pay-per-view since we don’t even know when the next AEW PPV is.

The Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) vs. Matt Cardona, Scorpio Sky, and The Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall) (with Allie)

Tom: I don’t see this feud ending with this match. The Nightmare Family vs the Dark Order will win with a match involving Cody. I don’t want to pick against Matt Cardona and Scorpio Sky but I am going to have to. There will be something shady in the finish and Lee will get the pin on QT.

Magnum: I am glad they went ahead and had Brodie Lee win the TV Title. He needed that to keep his momentum going. I predict that the Dark Order will continue on their winning ways, although I believe this storyline is just getting started.

Colin: I have to admit, The Dark Order started as a dud but it changed over time for the better. Much better I might say. Brodie Lee needed that win over Cody to solidfy the faction’s power in AEW and I don’t think they should lose here. They need to keep building on it and I predict a Dark Order win here.

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)

Tom: I am interested where the mad Young Bucks go, but I do know it will be a tag title match soon. This contender for match of the night will see the Young Bucks with their hands raised in victory.

Magnum: Given that we’re likely headed in the direction of The Young Bucks vs. FTR, I’m going to take the Bucks in this match. Should be great, either way!

Colin: The Young Bucks will go over, no questions about it, at least not in my book. With FTR heading for a title win, Young Bucks vs FTR is the next big program in the promotion so it makes zero sense for Matt and Nick Jackson to lose here.

Broken Rules Match – If Hardy Loses, he leaves AEW.
Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara

Tom: Tough to pick because a broken Matt could come back as an alternate persona and technically Matt Hardy would be gone. I can’t pick Matt to go away so, Matt Hardy or one of the different Broken Matt Hardies will get the win against Sammy.

Magnum: I have a feeling that Matt Hardy is going to finally get one back on Sammy. This has been an underrated feud – I’ve enjoyed the build for this, especially Hardy’s promos. Tonight, Matt gets revenge, and Sammy gets DELETED. Well, not literally.

Colin: Hardy’s AEW career hasn’t gone according to plans hasn’t it? I mean after all that hype he flopped big time. And that’s not necessarily on him. He was unlucky with the COVID thing. He’s a guy who relies mainly on people’s reaction with his broken persona and that was taken away from him before he even started. But I can’t see him leaving AEW. If there was not this stipulation, I would have gone for Sammy to go over but I think Matt will get his payback on the Spanish God.

Mimosa Mayhem – Win by Pinfall, Submission, or by propelling an opponent into a tank of Champagne & Orange Juice
Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy

Tom: his match may not take off like the Money in the Bank, but Jericho creates another toy set to sell. Jericho will beat Orange and it will seem like he will win. But there is no way Jericho doesn’t end in the mimosa as the fans cheer for Orange Cassidy’s rubber match win.

Magnum: This is one of those matches where Jericho can lose without losing face – I could absolutely see Jericho taking the plunge in the Mimosa Tank. This will be one of the wildest matches we’ll ever see – I’ll take Orange Cassidy to get the biggest win of his career.

Colin: I can’t get into Orange Cassidy’s shtick. I seriously don’t get him. At all. Common sense would indicate he should go over, especially in this Mimosa Mayhem match but I’m going against the flow here and predict that Chris Jericho will show why he’s Le Champion and Demo God.

AEW World Tag Team Championship
Kenny Omega and Adam Page (c) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) (with Tully Blanchard)

Tom: This will be an amazing tag match. We will see the cracks between Omega and Page grow and the split of the team after tonight. FTR will win to be your new AEW tag team champions.

Magnum: I gotta agree with Tom here – something really bad is going to happen with Omega and Page. We’ll know exactly where FTR stands tonight – if they’re here for the long-term, they’ll win tonight. I think they’re up for the challenge. FTR for the win.

Colin: Someone is turning tonight. Has to be. There’s no other ending for me for this match except for either Omega or Page turning and losing to FTR. New tag team champs!

AEW Women’s World Championship
Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Tom: There has to be some deal or partnership with the NWA. The NWA would not loan out their champion just to lose on All Out. I hope AEW can partner with other promotions for future shows. Tonight, Thunder Rosa will win to be the AEW and NWA Women’s Champions.

Magnum: I like the interpromotional concept here, although it will likely give way to a new challenger after Shida retains. I think Thunder Rosa and the NWA are getting some good exposure here, but it’s Hikaru Shida’s showcase. Shida retains.

Colin: The AEW women’s division is miles behind WWE’s division…or even NXT alone for that matter. The fact that they had to bring an outsider speaks volumes. This should be a great match and probably one of the best of the night but I find it hard to think that the NWA Women’s champ will beat the AEW Women’s champ on an AEW pay-per-view. So Shida retains.

AEW World Championship – Paradigm Shift Banned
Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF (with Wardlow)

Tom: Does the title change hand on a DQ? Either way I don’t see AEW ending their main event with a DQ. MJF is the future but the future is not today. Moxley will defend his title to go on against TBD from the Casino Battle Royal.

Magnum: At first, I was honestly thinking they’d go all the way with MJF…and then I started thinking about this more and more…and they could start a really good feud here. I’ll take Moxley to retain by beating MJF with the Paradigm Shift. Yep, you read that right. MJF will come out in the coming weeks and declare bullshit, which…he would have a point, and likely a rematch. Tonight, though? It’s all about Jon Moxley.

Colin: I have no doubt that MJF will be the future of the company, but the keyword is future, not now. Moxley will lose the title eventually but it won’t be tonight and he will get the W.

There you have it, fans! From the Pick’em Crew, enjoy the show tonight! We’ll see you later this month at Clash of Champions. @TheMagnumDA signing off.
