Boxing legend Mike Tyson told ESPN.COM how appreciative he is of Vince McMahon for giving him the opportunity to work with WWE during hard times.

McMahon hired Tyson to work for the company in the beginning of 1998 after his infamous match against Evander Holyfield when he bit his ear off.

"He came to get me and I am extremely grateful. This is real and I am not just sucking up. I don't want to kiss no ass, but I don't know where I would have been without WWE at that particular time in my life."

Tyson noted that none of his kids wanted to go to the boxing Hall of Fame but all of them want to come to the WWE one as they're all wrestling fans.

"When I give my speech, you won't have to worry about me breaking down and crying at that one like I did at the boxing Hall of Fame," Tyson said. "You'll hear every sentence loud and crackling and clear. This one goes straight to my ego. It's like, 'I'm so cool.' This is going to be fun. I'm just very ecstatic about it. It's a very big honor to me."

Tyson recounted how fun it was to work with Shawn Michaels and Triple H and the WrestleMania experience was a huge deal for him, not just as a big wrestling fan, but also from a personal standpoint.
