While doing media for his upcoming Las Vegas gig at the MGM Grand, Mike Tyson spoke about the WWE Hall of Fame to the Los Angeles Times.

"They think I belong in there and want me to fly out and get inducted into their hall. I'm not going to argue with them. I'm ecstatic," said the former boxing legend.

Tyson was announced for the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame class of 2012 at the end of January. He appeared at the 1998 Royal Rumble, then on RAW the next day with Stone Cold Steve Austin and at WrestleMania XIV where he served as the special enforcer for the main event. Tyson also guest hosted RAW last year and teamed with Chris Jericho to take on DX.

"I watched wrestling before I ever watched boxing on TV. Bruno Sammartino was my favorite, but I liked all those guys: Junkyard Dog, Nikolai Volkoff, the Iron Sheik, Superstar Billy Graham," Tyson added.

Tyson and WWE started working when Tyson was going through a lot of trouble in his life and Vince McMahon often said that Tyson was the happiest when he was around WWE and working with them.
